    Hello

For my Neostrada ADSL2 + option up to 20Mbps, I bought a router NETGEAR D1500.

I do not mean the configuration itself, because it is fabulously easy .. the device recognizes the service provider by itself, you only need to enter only the Neostrada login and password.

Please help .. in choosing the option that has a router ...

    Here are my link parameters:

    1. Wi-Fi network

Neostrada ADSL2+ on NETGEAR D1500: Configuration, Wi-Fi Settings, Preamble Mode & Security

    - 20 / 40MHz dual band - do I need to have this function enabled? Will something turn me off?

    - preamble mode - short or long?

    - Does changing the Region from "Europe" matter?

    - Does changing the mode (up to 54Mb / s, up to 145Mb / s, up to 300Mb / s) change anything? is it only about the Wi-Fi standard? b, g, n?

    - What type of security is the best?

    2. IPv6
Enable IPv6? Leave it turned off for now? If attached, which type to choose?

Turn it on. Disabling this option will cause you to have slower WiFi.

Don't move how it works ;) Golden rule

How is it you can set Poland. It gives so much that e.g. in the USA WiFi in the 2.4GHz band can work with 125mW power and in Poland 100mW, in the USA there are 11 channels, in Poland 13 and in Japan 14.

    Standard b, g, n.

I use mixed WPA / WPA2 PSK, or WPA2 PSK, the best is probably mixed, but it doesn't matter, if not WEP. WPA itself is not.

Never. The problems themselves, and they do not need anything.

    Will Canada also have 125mW?
Which region should you choose to have more powerful Wi-Fi?

My internet is Neostrada up to 20Mbps. It works like this up to 16Mbps
Will I get WiFi coverage if I set e.g. to 300Mb / s to 145Mb / s or to 54Mb / s ?? I do not have devices in the house that comply with the "ac" WiFi standard.

And I wonder ... what type of security should you choose ???
    - WPA2-PSK [AES]
    - WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]
    - WPA / WPA2 Enterprise

In Poland, the law allows 100mW and you are aware of this of course. There should be 125 on Canada, and North or South America too. But the signal increase will not be great, besides WiFi is two-way communication, the device will respond with its power.

    You won't gain.

I would probably take WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES], but no one will break in.

I will say absolutely imperceptible. Below 1 dB. And you lose two channels because there are 11 of them.
