    Hi!
My question is: is dynamic DSL worth it or is it a fake?
I currently have Neo up to 10Mb / s, the Lady offered (because I have a company) at the same price dynamic DSL with ADSL2 + technology, 5 IP addresses and something else.
What are the real speeds on such a service? - I do not expect fireworks at home - I know my infrastructure and I know that I will get the operator MAX 20Mb / s from the network, but if I can get 5 public IPs at the same price, why not :D

    1. Is Turbo / Dynamic DSL service quality better than regular Neostrada? - I am asking about the actual feelings, not the marketing ones :-)
    2. I put the operator device (Comtrend) in bridge mode, everything crashes into my router (Cisco). Does anyone know "what comes out" from the operator's bridge? What address should be on my device? Any VLANs or loopbacks? Has anyone gone through this configuration?

There are 5 static ip addresses from the bridge, you can park these addresses on one or more routers.

I had this service on comtrends for 2 years, three such adsl lines and three comtrends, every day the router crashed.
The comtrends were hanging on the ADSL line, they worked properly on the VDSL line.
Maybe they have already released the corrected firmware.

    Thanks for the answer!
But they all come out in the native vlan? In the sense of plugging in the Comtrenda lan switch and I can connect 5 devices with a public ip? Is this how I should understand it?

Do I have to do anything? NP 5 public ip coming out of Contrend, everyone in a different vlan?

Hmmm .... when I connect all IPs to one router, but I think they are all on comtrend's LAN ports, no wlanes, comtrend works like a modem-switch.

Already have an ADSL service? Show adsl stats, suppression, SNR etc.
Comtrend like comtrend, in general not bad, they hang sometimes but not at all,
DSL Orange now also passes the ZyXEL modem-router, I think it's better equipment.
DSL comes in two versions. The basic one is a transparent modem without NAT and DHCP and an extended one with a wi-fi router NAT and DHCP,
where in case of making a bridge from an extended one, call the hotline of the DSL operator and they will do it remotely.

You have a lot of money here, you could take the service up to 20 Mb / s and somewhere on 16-18 Mb / s you should have.
Theoretically, you could try to order VDSL, you have nothing to lose,
maybe it would work, a technician on the assembly to check or improve something, e.g. in the installation, and if it would synchronize at about 30 Mb / s, I would take it.
As for a minimum of 21-22-23 MB / s, it cannot be unstable.

    Thanks Lucek!
Unfortunately, the lady on the hotline excluded VDSL at my location. But as for ADSL I will have 15Mb / s, that's not bad too :-) and these 5 IP addresses :-)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the comparison between Dynamic DSL and Neostrada services, particularly focusing on the quality, speed, and configuration aspects when using Comtrend and Cisco routers. Users inquire about the actual performance of Dynamic DSL, especially in terms of speed and reliability compared to Neostrada, which offers up to 10Mb/s. The potential benefits of obtaining 5 public IP addresses at the same price are also highlighted. Responses indicate that while Comtrend devices may experience stability issues, they can function adequately on ADSL lines. Users discuss configurations, including bridge mode settings and VLAN considerations for managing multiple public IPs. The conversation also touches on the possibility of achieving higher speeds with VDSL, although some users report limitations based on their location.
