    Hello.
I have an Audi A3 8P after lifts. (2008, model 2009). I have the original Chorus 3 radio in it, I bought a Pioneer MHV AV 290 BT, but I have a problem, because there is no 12v on the key in the iso cube (the original radio went out only after removing the key from the ignition). I am not smiling about buying a CAN BUS adapter. Where can I look for a 12v ignition switch that will be suitable for powering the radio? I was looking in the fuse box, but unfortunately it is only on the ignition in several places (all the lights are on). The lighter comes off because there is still electricity. I was wondering about the light in the glove box, because the radio would turn off when locking the car, but probably not suitable for powering the radio. I did not disassemble the plastics under the steering wheel where the relays are, could I find what I am looking for and connect somewhere?

I am a bit green in these matters and I was hoping to find +12 in the fuses, which interests me, but unfortunately I was unpleasantly surprised ..

You're lying, there will definitely be a plus after ignition on any fuse, it would be best to take the fuse from there, but you can just as easily pull a million possibilities from the ignition.

I found a plus after ignition, but I'm looking for one that will disappear only after removing the key, and I have not found one anymore. Many people wrote on the Audi forum that they found the fuses without any problems .. For me, the fuses are either still positive, or only on the ignition when all the controls are on.

Then take the foreman straight from the ignition.

In this Audi model, you will not find such voltage in the ignition connector.

In an ordinary VW ignition switch, there are terminals:
[86s] power supply after inserting the key - that's what you're missing,
    [30] constant power supply,
[15] and [X] feed after ignition,
    [50] starter,
[P] parking power after removing the key
    ...
In the Audi A3 8p you will not find the "safe for installation" voltage [86s], which shows after inserting the key and after removing it - it turns off, as you expect.

Hmm, the author wrote at the beginning that the original radio went out after removing the key, I know that the ignition switches sometimes switched mass for the buzzer in the meter when removing the key, but if it is different here, I spread my hands and it remains plus after ignition ?

The only option is CAN emulators.

The radio was turned off after removing the key because everything is controlled by can. I tried too, and I don't think there's a way around it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a Pioneer MHV AV 290 BT radio to an Audi A3 8P (2008 model) and the challenge of finding a suitable 12V ignition switch for power. The original Chorus 3 radio powered off only after the key was removed, but the user struggles to locate a 12V source that behaves similarly. Responses suggest checking various fuses for a switched power source, but the user finds that most fuses remain powered or only activate with the ignition. A helpful response indicates that the Audi A3 8P lacks a safe installation voltage that turns off after key removal, and some participants suggest using CAN emulators as a potential solution since the radio's power management is controlled via CAN bus.
