Hello, I installed Resolve DaVinci for video processing, installation was successful. After attempting to start the program, the following message appeared: Deletecriticalsection entry point not found in library api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll
I tried to replace the file downloaded from the dllfiles website, I can't because I don't have permission in the system32 directory, the SysWOW64 directory was successful, the sfc scannow did not help, the sfc scanfile scanning showed no lack of integrity, I reinstalled VisualStudio and nothing ...

    Hello Resolve Fans,

maybe I have some good news for all Win7 users with the "api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll-DeleteCriticalSection-Problem" :

Try to delete or rename the file "OpenCl.dll" in the folder where you installed Resolve. (This file resides in the Folder where the Resolve.exe is, and comes with the intallation of DR15). With doing so, the Resolve.exe will fall back to the OpenCl.dll that is installed on your System. (e.g. here: "C:\Windows\System32")

I used Dependency Walker on the Resolve.exe to find out which part of the Programm is using the Function DeleteCriticalSecion in the api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll. In my case it was the OpenCl.dll . So maybe this file was not ment to come with the installation Package of RS15 ( I don't know if it was already there in RS14)

    Kind Regards,
    Alex
