Hello to you. If I have a Lenovo y510p laptop, no system. Can I downgrade from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 7 Professional? If I legally purchased Windows 10 Pro alone? Some say yes, some don't so I wanted to ask.

A few years ago I called Microsoft with a question about Downgrade from Win7 Pro to Vista.

Nice lady said that since I have a Pro, it entitles me to downgrade Vista.
When asked: where should I get the product key, she replied that I can install from any key and activate it. If it is activated, the legality issue is taken care of because I have an FV and an activated system.

Has anything changed since then? Probably not, but it's best to call Microsoft BOK: 22 594 19 99.

The hotline does not bite and they speak in Polish, although sometimes I spoke English, which was very difficult for me.

Hello. If you bought wines 10, this key does not allow you to go back to wines 7. Only the purchase of the key for wines 7 activates you which you download from Microsoft.

Thanks for the info. That's just how downgrade came to my mind. But if you need to buy Windows 7 Professional, that raises another question. Where can I legally buy a 7? If at all? So that I could, for example, download the iso from the ms website by entering the Windows 7 Pro key?

Lizengo is based in Germany. He issues a German invoice and asks for the payment of money by bank transfer to a German bank account. Although he writes everything in Polish, he has nothing to do with a Polish company, which means that you have to work hard to legalize it. Thanks! Hopefully I won't hit my knee if I ask about Windows 7 Ultimate after all? I compared both systems and I think Ultimate would suit me better. Forgive me for the trouble. I don't think I need to change the topic name because of this question.

I don't see much difference between Pro and Ultimate, maybe booting from VHD or encryption, but is it really necessary?
