Hello. I have the following problem in Citroen C3 I 2006 1.4hdi. The car drove normally, it was functional, the next day it was gone. Namely, after inserting the key, an Antipollution fault error pops up (which, as I really checked, after forums means something different in each case) well, but still ... after turning the key to position 2 for ignition .. the battery indicator flashes, the radio does not turn on, the air vents neither, but other things like lights, signals and cab lighting work. I checked the battery (I replaced it with another one from a working car) and the same. Fuses in the engine compartment have also been checked.

    The car starts?

I haven't done it yet. It is not until Thursday that the mechanic comes with the computer. I was hoping that someone would have something similar and would know what's going on here in the forum

As the name suggests - the error concerns ecology. According to the EU directive, if the car diagnoses an error / malfunction that could cause environmental pollution, it should enter the disabling mode. So it works as it should.
What exactly (some dpfs, egrs or other systems) is affected by the error is the connection of a computer can only say.
Ad-hoc, try to disconnect the battery for, say, an hour (of course, just unplug one clamp) and it will reset the computer - maybe it caught a one-time error and after the reset it will let it fire. Anyway, it's good to go to the diagnostics to know what's going on.

Do not litter the forum. There is no truth in what you write.

The computer cannot connect to the car. can't find a driver or something.

Topic summary

The user reports an Antipollution fault in their 2006 Citroen C3 I 1.4 HDi, which prevents the car from starting. Despite checking the battery and fuses, the vehicle remains in energy-saving mode, with only certain electrical components functioning. Responses suggest that the fault relates to environmental safety protocols, which may trigger a disabling mode when a malfunction is detected. A reset of the car's computer by disconnecting the battery is recommended as a potential temporary solution. However, a diagnostic check is advised to identify the specific issue, as the computer is currently unable to connect to the vehicle.
