    Hello,

brother bought a lemon c8 2.0 hdi RHT. He did everything well over 300 km from the purchase until one day emergency mode and limited power. I read the codes lexia, it turned out that there is one constant with fapa. After the parameters, as if someone was removing it, but the error clearly states that it is badly done, but not about it.

The problem is that I can't remove the errors from the engine with any tester. Is it lexia, is it other borrowed ones, e.g. delphi etc. When I try to delete lexia, the window shows "Communication error" as if I disconnected the OBD cable. When erasing with other testers, the supposed removal is successful, but after rereading the errors are invariably the same.

The second thing is that with the global test I do not connect to the air conditioning, the air conditioning is activated after pressing the button, the indicator appears but does not turn it on. However, when I take a tester, for example, the above-mentioned Delphi, I can normally force the climate.

I see a problem with bsm and now the question is whether I can safely connect the bms from my C5 for checking purposes? My BMS is only a bit richer with the possibility of coding due to the car's equipment. Because if it's not bsm, it remains only bsi or someone released soft in ecu.

The problem is poorly cleaned software from the engine ECU and therefore there are problems. Replacing the BSM will do nothing.

So the worst I assumed. It's better to buy a starter kit and convert it to remove fap because I won't even have a place to get this original software for the current driver. There is no one in my areas to save this soft as I suppose

Send the driver to your map editing company. Don't worry about the original batch, they'll be fine with getting it :)

Today I had a little fun with the change of the amount of the additive, and it stopped halfway when I tried to fire the fap. Someone pulled the fuse from the F5 position in the bsm (just from FAP). Apparently someone studied and fucked up to the rest.

In Bsi, I changed to the presence and absence of the FAP filter. It didn't do anything good.

After long battles, the car was loaded with many vitamins from the fap off, but it continues to smoke. But not about that, because one injection may be damaged by the way.

Still, you cannot remove errors from the ecu despite replacing the drivers. By the way, by the way, I found one, if it was done, cable marked C002C, yellow color. I will be grateful if someone will check what this cable is for. The car is now 300 km away from me and during this time I want info about this cable.

Hello . Old subject. But then it was possible to find the reason for the inability to delete the errors? ECU bsi? Maybe an installation? Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hello, unfortunately the car ran like it was from the beginning and was probably sold this way. I suspect now after some time that someone was rummaging in the driver's memory as he was removing fap and probably the new driver + eprom from the old one would help.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with a Citroen C8 2.0 HDi 110, specifically related to persistent engine errors and difficulties in clearing them. The user reports that after purchasing the vehicle, it entered emergency mode, displaying limited power and a constant error related to the FAP (particulate filter). Attempts to erase the error codes using various diagnostic tools, including Lexia and Delphi, resulted in communication errors or unsuccessful attempts to clear the codes. Suggestions include checking the ECU for improperly cleared software, considering a starter kit for FAP removal, and verifying configurations in the BSI (Body Control Module). The user also noted potential issues with the air conditioning system and mentioned a specific cable (C002C) that may be relevant to the problem. The discussion highlights the complexity of diagnosing and resolving electronic issues in modern vehicles, particularly when previous modifications may have been poorly executed.
