Hello, for a long time I can not open the flap from the microswitch placed in the rubber by the license plate lighting and now I can not open the flap from the remote control.
Until now, I checked the cables coming out of the flap and going to the trunk, they were cracked in this place and one broken one, I fixed it and the microstats still did not work and as for opening from the remote, I noticed that the actuator began to give signs of life, but also does not open, it only does, , snap '' and it won't even move

You need to get to the actuator and see what's going on there.

so I quickly got to the servomotor, I took it out and checked it under 12V is functional but in the servomotor plug where two brown and yellow-red wires come in there is a short to ground the meter squeaks and there is no voltage but when I press opening on the remote control it appears for a moment 12V. I have yet noticed that when I push the actuator arm without a plug, the arm extends quickly and when connected to the plug it extends very slowly. Yesterday I connected vcds no errors were found.

after connecting the bulb to the plug, the bulb does not light, after pressing the boot lid open button, the bulb shines brightly for 2 seconds and goes out

So the actuator is blocking something since it works for a short time.

Hello, today I dismantled the actuator, took out the motor and dismantled it, there was a lot of black dust from the brushes, thoroughly cleaned it with a small brush + contact, I connected the motor for a short time to work a bit both ways, after this procedure I connected the actuator to the ankle in the flap and started working normally.

I checked the microst contact located in the rubber by the license plate lighting did not work immediately after inserting the key into the flap lock, twisting it several times the microst contact got and now opens the flap without any problem

(before I measured the voltage on the microstat plug, the plug has four wires: two from the 12.30V license plate bulbs connected the bulb was on and two from the micromotor 11.60V connected the bulb was off)

    everything works for now

Hello, so far the flap opening works flawlessly with the remote control and the microstatic solution to the problem was to solder and insulate the cables coming out of the boot lid and then dismantle the lock cylinder and thoroughly clean and lubricate it, so I close the topic.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunctioning tailgate on an Audi vehicle, specifically issues with the microswitch and remote control operation. The user initially faced problems with the microswitch located near the license plate lighting and the remote control not functioning. After inspecting and repairing cracked cables, the actuator showed intermittent signs of life but failed to operate fully. Subsequent troubleshooting involved testing the actuator under 12V, which revealed a short to ground. Connecting a bulb indicated that the actuator was blocking something, as it only worked briefly. After cleaning the actuator motor and addressing the microswitch, the tailgate began functioning correctly again. The final solution involved soldering and insulating the cables and cleaning the lock cylinder.
