Hello, I recently noticed some defects on my monitor (AOC i2475PXQU). Going deeper into the topic, I learned that apparently IPS Glow is a normal thing in IPS panels, it just has to be as some say. But I am not sure if it really is IPS Glow. Could someone help me figure out exactly what it is and if it is possible if the monitor is about half a year old, does it make sense to report it under warranty or something? best regards
@Piwniczakus Garbatus it looks more like backlight bleed to me. IPS that I have at work and at home did not show such a thing. Let's wait for the opinion of others.
And in the upper left corner, what is it? Isn't that a bad pixel?
Backlight Bleed. Similar to IPS glow , an effect called backlight bleed is when light leaks around the corners in an LCD display.
IP glow is the screen glow when viewed from a large angle!
when you sit in front of the screen in the normal position do you see this effect? * not using display parameters "trimmed" for max.
Remember that the AH-IPS matrix pseudo 8-bit (6-bit + FRC), GT 4 / 6ms (Gray-to-Gray measurement method) is there * this matrix is recommended for 23.6-23.8 "
* At EU East, can they give "inferior (IPS)" matrixes? The choice of matrices is described Link_column 23_23.8 "
ps you won't buy a monitor with (DVI-D, HDMI + DisplayPort) for this price The company recommends in Eco mode
For every user, their eyes are subjective and different! In AOC _i2470 it was "similar" and it is typical - standard for AH-ips, e-IPS matrix when viewed under ...? angle (ips glow), Anti-glare * similar in Viewsonic VP2468, LG 24MP88HV, * mostly left side, up and down? !!
@lisek Yes, I normally sit and if I have a dark scene in a movie or game, I can see it with a naked eye at 40 contrast and 50 brightness during the day, not to mention at night. Despite 40/50 it is still a dark image, and apparently this is supposed to reduce the glow effect
I mean, on the store's website it was written that IPS (https://www.mediaexpert.pl/monitory-led/monitor-aoc-i2475pxqu,id-693204#tab_description) as soon as the download is finished I will try to give results of the aid
edit: aida the only thing useful (I think) is the "monitor type" LCD FHD
I mean only if it is backlight bleed or IPS glow and whether any IPS panels have backlight bleed in the standard, can you give it a guarantee (I asked at the point where I purchased and you said that she did not know, but how something it will send to the service but may come down 2 weeks before the monitor returns to me and it is not said that it will be repaired and whether they will accept the guarantee in general, and I do not have a replacement monitor and the computer is in some sense necessary for me)
The discussion revolves around the AOC i2475PXQU monitor, where the user is experiencing potential display issues, questioning whether they are due to IPS Glow or backlight bleed. Responses indicate that IPS Glow is a common characteristic of IPS panels, particularly noticeable at wide viewing angles, while backlight bleed is considered a defect. Users suggest checking the monitor's specifications to confirm the type of panel and recommend using software like Aida64 to gather more information. The user is also concerned about warranty coverage for these issues, as the monitor is only six months old, and they express the need for a functioning monitor during the potential repair process.
