Hello. The problem concerns the car that can be bought and I don't know whether to decide. It is a Fiat Seicento with a 1.1 liter engine. Specifically, the problem concerns the work of the box, namely when I drove it, I noticed that the first and the two entered hard.
At a standstill, the gears go nicely and without any problems, of course with the engine running. So the clutch definitely disengages to the end, with the rest supposedly replaced two years ago. However, when driving, to throw in a single, the car must practically stand. There aren't any glitches or anything like that, just the jack is resisting and that's it. It is a bit better with two, but when I slow down before turning and I want to reduce, the jack also resists.
For comparison, I have a second Seicento with a 900cm engine, apparently the box is mounted there exactly the same. And there are no such effects there, the first 5 km / h will already come in, with the two there are no problems. For example, driving 40 km / h on a 3, when I want to reduce to accelerate faster, no problem. In this car, which is available for purchase, it might be difficult to get a 2 at 40 km / h, unless using an additional fuel gauge as in a non-synchronized gearbox (I did not try).
My question is for users of this car and people who have dealt with it. In the case of this model, does such a symptom mean beaten synchronizers in the box, or is there a chance that it is some external element, such as cables or the jack mechanism itself? I am asking because I do not know whether to buy, apart from this fault, everything is fine, the seller even has a lot of documentation on servicing the car.
