    Hello

Can anyone tell me if the Thermomix TM5 US version 110V will work properly by connecting it with the following Converter / voltage reducer:

    Converter - autotransformer parameters:
    Input voltage : 220V - 240V
    Output voltage: 110V - 120V
    Nominal power: 2000 W (current 16.4A)

    Thermomix USA Specification:

Motor: Maintenance-free Vorwerk reluctance motor 500W rated power
Heating system: 1,000W power consumption. Protected against overheating.

    Connected load: Only for 110V 50/60Hz (TM5-4)
    Maximum power consumption 1400W

I don't know anything about it, can you help me please? For example, will it have a predictable current consumption at start-up and you need to buy a transformer with a higher power?

I will be grateful for any help!
    Regards

He should give it a rest. Even if the power consumption is higher at the start, the transformer should be able to withstand it without any problems. You have 600 watts anyway.
The assumption that it is an autotransformer and not some Chinese converter.

Thank you very much for your answer. Will one with a soft start be suitable: Link 1 ? or better something like this: Link 2 ? the latter is the price of 2x, although both are probably made in China because on several pages they were under the names of other brands, but the appearance is the same.

If you have the money, take the other one, a company known for the production of transformers is probably not a dud.

I use Transformator ELC T-2000 Step Up & Down Transformer and I am satisfied, I used this device both in the USA (I had a Thermomix TM31 from Poland), now I use it in Poland with a TM5 device from the USA.
