Hello, I have a scenario 2 1.9dci 120km 250k mileage and recently, when I was standing at the traffic lights, I started smoking black. I came back home and cleaned the EGR and the intake, which was dirty, they think and it was like oil after cleaning the car started to smoke all the time in such a gray color and in large quantities someone had something similar? Does anyone know what could be? I was betting on a pneumothorax, I detached the tube from the pneumothorax and a bubble comes out of it strange, I attach a video showing the phenomenon. Best regards.

    hi
    - the oil level in the engine is correct? - maybe the turbo is raining and takes the oil out of the engine
-you can check it by removing the hose connecting the turbine with the intercooler, if there is too much oil there
    - slight pneumothorax smoke in this course is not unusual

The turbine returned 2 bellows ago from regeneration, so it is not a turbine, it does not take a gram of oil, I do not know about the coolant, but it is not visible that it is taking. The car smoked black sometimes and after cleaning the EGR it started to smoke gray and white, it's hard to say because it is such a mixed color and it smokes now all the time at revolutions up to 3,000 on an idle smoke less than 3 knots so that you can not see anything. Maybe something from the EGR cooler? Because this model has such coolers, I am waiting for your suggestion, best regards.

    hi
sorry yes at a distance it's hard to help you but
    - is the engine, except that it smokes normally? - has power, does not make any strange sounds
    - you cleaned the EGR valve, does it work (closes and opens)
-you can check the cooling system for co2 (although black smoke does not indicate this)
-give more messages, maybe someone more familiar with the topic will help you
    Regards kris

the easiest way is to connect the car to the Clip and check the parameters

Well, the car collects a little less than before and only so many suspicious sounds do not make on Saturday, I will try to connect it and see what will happen. Greetings

Why not a turbine? I had a case that the turbine died 2 weeks after regeneration - it all depends on who and how did it. It is best, as in the posts above, connect the car to the Clip and check the parameters. Burnt oil is blue as I remember correctly, gray color would suit me better for radiator fluid ... coolant level unchanged?

I'm afraid attaching Clip will not help.
The problem looks more mechanical - component wear / deposits / carbon build-up

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Renault Scenic 2 1.9dci experiencing black and gray smoke emissions after cleaning the EGR and intake. The user reports that the vehicle, with 250k mileage, initially emitted black smoke at traffic lights, which changed to gray after maintenance. Suggestions from other users include checking the oil level, inspecting the turbo for oil leaks, and evaluating the EGR cooler. There are concerns about potential mechanical issues, such as component wear or carbon build-up, and the importance of connecting the vehicle to a diagnostic tool (Clip) to assess parameters. The user is also advised to monitor coolant levels, as gray smoke may indicate coolant leakage.
