Hello. I just got a pretty cool unit which is the Lenovo 700 15isk laptop. I expanded the RAM to 16 Gb in it. The laptop will serve me for a long time (I am not going to replace it for the next period of time), so I want to invest in an M2 SSD drive for it. At the moment, I have a SATA GoodRam Iridium PRO 240 Gb SSD installed. From the specification of this laptop I read (and I saw a PCIe slot inside) that you can install such a disk up to 256 Gb PCIe, from what I understand these are M2 disks. And here's my question, because I haven't read a more detailed specification of this PCIe slot anywhere. What is the best M2 drive I can install in this unit? As you know, M2 disks are available in a variety of prices and with various parameters, so I ask what the best disk (fastest) I can install here

Samsung M2 disks from the 960 EVO Series, not to mention PRO, have very high sending and receiving speeds (the price is also high, but as I mentioned, I want to invest in the best disk possible), and therefore I ask if the PCIe slot in my equipment is fully will handle the capabilities of such a disk?

Then, since the connector provides the full, highest transfer rate, what would you recommend for my equipment, of course up to 256 Gb?

... the aforementioned disk does not knock you down with its parameters, especially its write speed

    ... maybe such a disk Samsung 970 Evo M.2 250GB ?

OK I understand. So if I mount, for example, this Samsung 970 Evo M.2 250GB drive, the socket in my laptop will fully support this drive. Another question that arises is is the PCIe slot in my laptop bootable or is it just a laptop memory expansion application? Let it not turn out that I will not boot the system on this socket

I am also faced with this problem: what disk to choose and whether it is possible to put a system on the m2 connector?
