    Welcome,
Today, while driving, the check lit up. After checking, error P0340 or a problem with communication with the camshaft position sensor. Deleting doesn't help. How to delete it and after firing it still appears. Twice while driving, this check was on, went out for a few seconds and then appeared again. My diagnosis is either a whack sensor, or connections to the ECU or the ECU itself. I have a request to you. Can anyone explain to me exactly where this sensor is located and how the connection to the ECU is carried out? I can't find it myself. I took off the timing cover but I can't see it. The same from the bottom of the channel, nothing can be seen. I have no idea where to look for him. Please help.

    The engine is Z16XEP.

Here I have a view of this engine from the timing side but I can not see any sensor there

The program prompts under (between the wheel and the block) the right timing gear. Look for the plug or cable coming out of that place.

The attached picture shows both timing wheels and the sensor is missing :( . After removing the cover, I can't see it anywhere.

You are not looking for this page. It's about the side of the box, at the end of the exhaust shaft.

Oh, please, I wouldn't suppose in my life. And please, can you see it from above or rather from below from the channel?

I warm up so that the post does not mislead. The sensor is located behind the wheel of the exhaust shaft as marked in red in the photo. You need to set the wheel to unscrew the screw between the spokes, then turn the sensor and pull it from the other side, behind the timing cover. A sensor is connected to the sensor, which makes it easier to find it.

    Greetings.
