Hello, I have a petrol lawn mower with a basket, the exact model is: NAC LS50-750EX B&S. I have a drive problem with this mower. When I turn on the drive, the mower pulls forward. However, when I release the drive and want to withdraw the mower, something pops and shoots in the rear wheels. It's not always like that. When it spreads, it is ok and when it locks up, nothing helps. What can it be, and is it complicated to repair something like this? Am I able to do it myself?

Most likely, these cams and pins / wedges in the drive gears in the mower wheels have worn out a little. It is a type of dog clutch that "pulls" in one direction only and replaces the differential.
I don't know, but maybe a little bit of grease (minimal) would help, but it's best to replace it with new ones.
For example "to show" what is going on:

Remarks as above valid. Also check the pull rod that engages the drive, maybe it needs adjustment or other routing.

Hello, colleagues, I started the wheels. In fact, one of the pins was rusty. I started it up, lubricated it all nicely. I put it together and unfortunately the effect is the same. I picked the mower up and when you try to spin the wheels backwards, such a rattling noise comes from all this drive mechanism. What could be there that could get damaged?

Either you started up inaccurately and lubricated these pins, or they are worn or do not disconnect the drive, it would be fitting to remove the drive cover and see if it disengages the drive properly

Hello, the drive has been healed. There were two reasons. In one of the wheels, this pin, which should move slightly, was rusty. The second reason was that there were no bearings in any of the wheels. They just fell out. Establishing new ones did the trick.
