I have a problem with playing videos in the mkv format with x256 hevc codec in 4K resolution with HDR.
Playback is "jerky" loses frames and sound. I play on the Asus X73S iCore7 2670QM (@ 3GHZ) laptop + intel HD3000 graphics chip, 8 GB RAM, dedicated Nvidia GT540M 1GB chip. The players are the latest versions of VLC and MPC 64bit, and updated K-Lite Codec Pack encoders. Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit operating system. I am writing because I cannot solve this problem, I will add that 4K material on YouTube is played smoothly. I already read a lot of articles, set up codecs etc. effect still the same lack of fluidity. Is my laptop so weak at 4K? Best regards.
