Most threads deal with timing replacement after a certain number of kilometers driven. I wonder, however, Can you change the timing after five years of using the car? I am the first car owner. I have a mileage of 200,000 kilometers and I usually drive around the city. I fail to do a forcing camshaft change, so my problem is more time.

because of the wearing parts it is so because if you drive a little time it causes wear of elements and another thing is to make small routes but in bark where the kilometers do not rise too much but the engine work time does

That is why replacement kilometers are foreseen for years

Can be done. 200 thousand is not enough?

It should be replaced every 90,000 or every 4 years.
Given that the car is no longer new, I would stick to these guidelines.
    Similarly with oil ...
I in the 1.9 TDI 130HP octavia change oil every 10,000 and timing every 70,000.

I would also do it because a broken belt or a damaged roll can cause much higher costs ....

A joke or an understatement? Are you saying that the timing belt has been there since being installed by the factory? Have you looked into the company documentation?
    you ask

    I think it's necessary.

    The belt was changed regularly
    90 thousand km.
    162 thousand km. 2014
230 thousand km. I should have traveled that much in 2019 after 5 years.

I would prefer a replacement after 6 years after traveling around 86,000 km.
    Am I at high risk?

All in all it's not big. I know of a case that the SKF roll fell apart after a year on a set of 8,000. km
