Hello. I took up the topic as in the description, because my tfsi has a camshaft twisted and the engine is a garbage can and I have a whole angola a4b6 with 1.8T (BEX 190KM) it seemed a reasonable solution to me. The engine is already sitting in the car and mechanically everything is done. The engine harness is shorted with the harness under the dashboard. The cubes are similar at first glance, but they differ slightly, the wires also do not match in places and colors. Maybe someone did something like this or has a pinout of these ankles. Kisses

Hello. This is how the car drives, I bought the original b7 harness (bfb 163km) for this I converted the installations in the car, i.e. adding a fuel pump relay and throwing it out of the tfsi which is under the fuel pump cover. Overall work is but fully doable.

I have a question, I am also thinking about such a swap due to a damaged 2.0TFSI engine. You write that you removed the fuel pump control module and what about the fuel pump in the tank, did you also replace it or did you add the fuel pressure regulator? As far as I know, in direct injection, the low pressure fuel pump has a greater capacity of over 5 bar than in an indirect injection car and the engine can be flooded.

According to the catalog, the pump in TFSI beats the same pressure as in 1.8T. I drive, nothing happens, errors do not crash. You only need to change the fuel filter with the fuel pressure regulator. At 2.0Tfsi 6bar at 1.8T 4bar.

Hello . Also trying to do such a swap. Mechanically I have already put everything into firing. But so far I don't know how to modify this fuel pump installation
pawcio013 could you write how exactly to remake this installation (how to add this relay and remove the pump driver from tfsi) ??? I have searched many posts and there are no instructions on how to exactly redo this

Hello. Could someone describe exactly how to remove and how to add the fuel pump relay?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an engine swap in an Audi A4 B7, replacing a 2.0 TFSI engine with a 1.8T (BEX 190KM) engine due to issues with the original engine. The user faces wiring and harness compatibility challenges, particularly with the engine harness and dashboard connections. Other participants share their experiences, noting the need to modify the fuel pump installation by removing the TFSI fuel pump control module and adding a relay. They confirm that the fuel pump pressure is compatible between the two engines, but caution about potential flooding due to differences in fuel pressure requirements. A link to a detailed guide on the swap process is also provided.
