    Hello.
As in the topic, I have a problem with the Citroen DS3 with the 1.6 VTI engine
The car after replacing the valve timing, oil, shaft position sensor on the exhaust side
The head was replaced. I bought the heads complete and handed them over to planning.
The car burns without a problem. It does not work smoothly after firing, only after a dozen or so seconds the revs increase for a moment, they drop and it works evenly.
Error P000B Slow response of the exhaust camshaft positioning system
On the exhaust side variable phase sensor, I noticed filings on the mesh. I cleaned and the problem with filings did not recur.
I am also concerned about the value of lifting the exhaust valves at idle speed. Lexia describes the idling value of around 0.3-0.4 mm, the value in blocks is 9.3mm
What could be the reason for this?
    Please help
Some LEXII measured blocks in the appendix

Swap the control valves, suction with exhaust.
As the fault changes, you have the culprit.

    Oil is 5w / 30?
Of course, it is on the locks?
These filings about which you write may still be in circulation.
The set value of valve lift is in line with the real one, so the problem may be with a misaligned timing, oil pressure / blocking filings /, valves about which T5 writes.

I struggled with such a case. The chain jumped.
The cylinder head is repaired, a new timing kit with variable phase wheels, and no power and an exhaust shaft sensor error - which I do not remember. I swapped the control valves and attention, after a few fires, the fault passed to the suction shaft. Not immediately. I didn't go into why, changed the valve and it helped.

A stretched chain and there will also be such symptoms.
I do not want to cling, but my friend wrote about the new valve timing and the photo shows that the slide is rather old, so who knows where to look for the problem and here are also filings in the system ;-)
There is only one valve in the Mini of this year and it is a little easier to diagnose this engine.

One valve was only in turbo engines. On the suction roller.
    Am I wrong? :)

    Perhaps you are right :-)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Citroen DS3 with a 1.6 VTI engine experiencing issues after replacing the valve timing, oil, and exhaust camshaft position sensor. The car exhibits rough idling and an error code P000B indicating a slow response from the exhaust camshaft positioning system. Users suggest potential causes including misaligned timing, oil pressure issues, and the presence of filings in the system. Recommendations include swapping control valves to identify the faulty component and checking for a stretched timing chain, which could also lead to similar symptoms. The importance of ensuring clean oil circulation and proper valve lift measurements is emphasized.
