    Hi.
I have installed a blow radio in my VW Touran and the radio is not in range very well. I only have zet and rmffm and that with noise.
    What can I do?
    What to buy?

    BEST REGARDS :)

Install an antenna separator because your antenna amplifier does not get power.

If it's VW, I suggest, as a colleague wrote, to set up a separator with power. Of course, the factory is fakro. You can also try turning off the AF function.

And what's the advice with this AF exclusion? Disabling this feature is probably a misunderstanding. Well, unless the owner of the car uses it to move in the space of transmitting one radio signal transmitter.
The antenna in the car is designed to provide the receiver with a signal that ensures proper reception of radio stations and automatic selection of the stronger signal of a specific radio station in a given place, which is provided by the AF function.
The antennas of cars from the VW-Audi group use active signal amplifiers, which require a +12 V voltage supply. The radios originally installed in these cars are equipped with special systems that provide +12 V in the antenna socket. In the case of using a non-standard radio in these cars, an antenna separator should be used, which will deliver the signal from the antenna to the radio and at the same time (via the signal cable) supply the power supply to the amplifier built into the antenna.

    Hello.
How did you solve the problem of poor reception?
I have the same radio model and there are no problems with reception, but the antenna is ordinary (original) passive and works quite tolerable, which I cannot say about the equalizer and RDS, the equalizer after turning on the radio has sliders set as before turning off (i.e. e.g. to max) and the radio plays as if the treble slider was at the minimum, a slight adjustment of the slider returns the sopranos and so until the station is changed or the radio is restarted (then the situation repeats), i.e. the slider is at max and there are no sopranos, while RDS rarely works after selecting preset stations, the automatic station seek tuning works correctly.
I would have a request for information about this radio, whether similar problems also occur with you or I just came across a flawed copy.
Here is a link to my topic which so far has not been answered unfortunately.

I had the same problem with such a radio, it was enough to connect the power supply to the serial amplifier in the car. Do you work with steering wheel control on this radio? Because I have a problem with connecting via the connects2 adapter

Too little information to determine the reason for the lack of steering wheel buttons. Write what car, preferably what type of remote control is used in it, and with what radio it has worked so far. Chinese stations like the one in the topic accept resistive remotes (each button is assigned a specific resistance). The radio has three key 1 key 2 wires and a mass that we connect to such a remote, and then running the application on the radio "we teach them" by pressing each button in turn remote control and assigning it a function of your choice (from the list available in this application).
If your connects2 outputs a digital signal, these devices will not "get along" with each other. I had this in the Renault Megane II, the remote control is connected to the display and the digital signal (exactly i2c) goes to the radio. Such a solution without modifications (e.g. an appropriate interface) will not work with such a radio.
How would you write about which radio, or model as in the subject, or just similar?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around improving the weak radio signal reception of a Blow AVH-9900 installed in a VW Touran. Users suggest installing an antenna separator to ensure the antenna amplifier receives power, as the original VW radios provide +12 V to the antenna socket. Disabling the AF (Alternative Frequency) function is debated, with some arguing it may not be beneficial since it helps in selecting stronger signals. One user reports satisfactory reception with a standard passive antenna, while others mention issues with the equalizer and RDS functionality of the radio. Additional queries about steering wheel control compatibility with the radio are also raised, indicating potential integration challenges with aftermarket systems.
