When installing Linux from USB, the installer does not see the hard drive. The problem is identical when trying to install Ubuntu and Mint. I booted the pendrive with the Universal USB Installer.
It's old hardware, and that's why it wants Linux. Fujitsu Esprimo P2530 with a changed processor. 1GB RAM DDR2 Core 2 Duo E6300 Disk: HDD WD 200GB Bios sees the drive and Windows installs flawlessly.
Later, test again in AHCI and IDE modes and, if necessary, upload photos of all SATA @ nForce 630i controller settings
BTW: write the marking / device models connected to the SATA ports, something is there:
[27.616048] ata2.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xa1) [27.616054] ata2.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I / O error, err_mask = 0x4) [27.616087] ata1.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xec) [27.616091] ata1.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I / O error, err_mask = 0x4) [27.930628] ata2: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 300) [27.930680] ata1: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 300)
Bios is installing. Here is a list of all connected devices under the board: 1.Disk: WDC WD2000JB 2.ATA-sATA adapter 3. DVD drive: Optirac AD-7200S 4.Wi-Fi network card: EDiMAX EW-7128G 5.Front USB ports 6. Memory card reader 7.Front Entrances Jack
After updating the BIOS and setting the SATA Controller Mode to Enhanced and Silent Mode to Silent, the installer sees the partitioned disk and the DVD drive.
