Hello. My problem is that I wanted to install Windows 8 from a pendrive. I prepared it through the command line (commands: diskpart, list disk, select disk, clean, create partition primary, active, format fs = fat32 quick, assign), then I copied the files from the CD to the pendrive prepared in this way. And when I wanted to set it in the BIOS, I noticed that it did not see the name of the pendrive (photo), and so I set it to 1st place. Unfortunately, the installation does not start when the computer is started, but the system starts up immediately. And my question is what to do to start USB booting.

My way, you should set USB HDD first.

You're right. Only before starting the computer and entering the BIOS, the pendrive should be already connected. If it does not, you will not be able to set the USB HDD as the first one.

Unless it is an unusual flash drive with which there may be problems with starting (it happens often).
What kind of pendrive do you have?

Most likely, it will be a problem with the pendrive, because I put USB HDD in the 1st place right away.
And the flash drive is nothing special, such as:

I don't know what program you were doing it but try WinUSB Maker.

Depending on the motherboard, the pendrive can be seen as a hard drive, see if it is not there in the hard drives tab.

I haven't used any program but will try this :)

WinUSB Maker - still not working.
I checked the flash drive in another computer and it works there, so the problem is not the flash drive.

    What computer?
Recently I had the same problem too, unfortunately I couldn't do anything about it. Changing the pendrive helped

Also once I had problems with the installation on a computer with USB.
As far as I remember correctly, I set up the bios start somehow atypically.
Instead of USB HDD, another option had to be set. I don't remember now.
Try to set up USB CD or FDD.

Here it can simply be that the bios, despite its function, is not able to force the start of this device. First make sure the flash drive contains a working boot loader.

As I wrote before, the pendrive works on another computer, so it is not the problem.

In that case, your bios is not able to handle such a function.

And maybe there is some way around it? Install the system other than from the disc?

Here you have a fragment of the BIOS description (booting).
I don't know English, but in order to set booting from USB you need to select "Fast Bios" in the "Advanced" tab.
    Marked box in red.
    I hope it will help.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user's issue with a BIOS not recognizing a bootable USB flash drive for Windows 8 installation. The user prepared the USB using Diskpart commands but encountered problems when trying to boot from it. Responses suggest ensuring the USB is connected before entering BIOS, setting the USB HDD as the primary boot device, and checking if the USB is recognized under hard drives. Some users recommend using tools like WinUSB Maker to create the bootable USB. Others mention that certain flash drives may not be compatible, and suggest alternative boot options in BIOS settings. The user confirmed the USB works on another computer, indicating a potential BIOS limitation. A suggestion was made to enable "Fast BIOS" in the advanced settings to facilitate USB booting.
