    Welcome

I need to glue the drawer in my refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has cracked and it is barely possible to eject it and it is not possible to buy a new one. What is the best way to glue it so that it serves a little longer and is durable? The damage is on a part of the clear plastic where it is pulled to slide out. I am asking for advice on what it is best to stick together.

A droplet (one-component glue) sticks everything together, so it can also handle a plastic drawer. Give it a try.

I glue this type of transparent elements of the shelves mounted on the internal door of the refrigerator with Russian glue with the symbol 505 with a packaging capacity of 20 grams. I bought the glue at a stand where a trader set up his stall while passing through. The price of the glue is only PLN 2 Very high durability and the manufacturer recommends gluing ceramics, wood, leather, rubber, plastic, metal, paper, cardboard and glass on the packaging. .

droplet? rather, it will not hold in this place, especially since there are great forces there, because in this place you pull on the drawer, which is rather full ...

I have the same problem. BOSCH fridge and cheap plastics that are scary to touch. I glued them with Loctite 406 glue and it's OK. But I plan to stick to the sensitive places with additional reinforcement in the future. I was also thinking about using a strong transparent foil and covering the shelves and drawers with it.

I am a fan, and the problem is the same, I checked the nitro solvent, so I made glue from the transparent casing of the cd, and it holds.

It may not be very aesthetic, but it will be very strong. Although with this aesthetic it's just a matter of proper processing.
Cracked plastics can be repaired very well and effectively by fusing with a soldering iron along the length of the crack, wire sections of approximately 2 cm. The ends of the wires are bent in the shape of the letter Z. Felt the wires in approximately 1 cm apart.
This way I repaired the cracked "plastics" / covers (from the bottom), and the wheel arches in the car. Additionally, "weld" the crack with a soldering iron. Everything holds up very tightly.
A good method is also riveting an appropriately shaped metal plate with blind rivets. Of course, on the other side you also have to put a badge or sufficiently large / wide washers.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion centers on effective methods for repairing a cracked refrigerator drawer, particularly focusing on gluing techniques. Various adhesives are recommended, including one-component glue, Russian glue labeled 505, and Loctite 406, noted for their durability on plastic. Users also suggest reinforcing repairs with transparent foil or soldering techniques, where a soldering iron is used to fuse the crack with wire sections. Additionally, riveting with metal plates is proposed as a strong repair method. The challenges of replacing parts for certain brands, such as Amica and Bosch, are highlighted, emphasizing the need for durable solutions.
