    Hello,
I have a Sharp KC-A40EU air purifier with the function of evaporative air humidification. After maintenance of the device (cleaning and descaling of filters), the device showed error E2. According to the user manual, this error suggests a problem with the humidifying filter - its incorrect assembly. And in fact, after looking closely at the problem (pulling out the hepa and carbon filters and observing the spinning humidification filter from the back of the device), you can see that at some point the filter housing falls off the rack and stops rotating.
Has anyone encountered such a problem? The filter falls off the rack after about one turn, sometimes after several.
I will add that the humidifying filter (housing made of ABS) is descaled by pouring boiling water over it and adding a descaling agent. Could the temperature have caused the filter housing to shrink? It looks as if it was too small or deformed under the influence of temperature and at some point the driving roller does not reach the grooves in the filter housing. Visually, everything looks good: the filter does not look deformed, the drive itself (toothed roller) also seems to work properly. The filter itself and its mounting are also correctly assembled.

I bought a new filter housing. The device is working properly. Conclusion..do not treat it with hot water. He shrunk more than an inch from the heat.
