    Hello

A friend bought Polsat's Multiroom with EVOBOX LITE set-top boxes, they told him in the store that he would have to change cards because he did not have WiFi at home. However, in these new decoders, the card translation option is not available. So what needs to be done for this to work? Is it enough to buy any router and simply make a home network, but without the Internet? Will this configuration work? Or maybe there are some other ways?

    I would ask for help.
    Thank you

Who needs a wifi network without internet? There is no wifi router in the decoder, is there no internet in the subscription?

I do not mean that there should be internet there, but about those permissions that change from time to time and then only the main decoder has an image and not the other one. I just meant this combination ...

In the case of multiroom with EVOBOX LITE or EVOBOX HD set-top boxes, in order for the multiroom to work, the set-top boxes must be connected to each other by a network, wired or wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
Cards that are installed in decoders are not used to authorize multiroom.

If someone does not have a router with Wi-Fi and the Internet, he can connect the set-top boxes directly with a cable (in the case of two set-top boxes), such as twisted-pair cable and manually configure the network.
In this case, in one decoder we enter in the manual network configuration:

    IP 192.168.0.1, mask 255.255.255.0, DNS 192.168.0.2

In the second decoder enter: IP 192.168.0.2, mask 255.255.255.0, DNS 192.168.0.1

The above IP parameters can also be used if someone does not have a Wi-Fi router and does not want or cannot connect the decoders by wire.
Then you can use a regular acess point Wi-Fi, and configure the IP addresses manually as above.
The use of acess point seems to be the most flexible and relatively simple.
