Hello, I have a problem with my jbl charge 3 speaker.
Namely, the point is that I turn on the speaker, connect to it using bt and play music. After a while, the speaker turns itself off.
Anyone have an idea what to do?

    Added after 5 [minutes]:

I will add that it happened after taking it out of the pool (there have never been any problems with its waterproofness)

Hello, how about the battery indicator? Is it charged or has one dot

well, I'm betting on a short circuit at the entrance (you can spray alcohol and blow it out, for example with a pear) or the battery just got a short circuit and lost enough capacity
off topic, I will say that it is not the first flip I make that is supposedly waterproof. But you don't necessarily have to break the middle through the water

On Monday I'll take him to work and my friend and I will try to work something out
If anyone else has any guesses, please let me know.

Good idea, it's not very complicated, but it's quite hard to get inside, check out this entrance and to exclude batteries, if you have a meter, measure it (how many volts) and, apart from the speaker, try to charge it with a 5V power supply if it charges anything at all

The motherboard was flooded, we dried it and nothing (there was still water)

Well, sometimes this water resistance, as I said, is not 100%.
Is there any burn marks or greenish coating on the contacts (tarnish) on the board? Drying alone is not necessarily enough, it is best to wash with a PCB preparation, possibly with alcohol, e.g. isopropanol.

Any chance to save him? I'll let you know tomorrow if there was a raid
We just dried it thoroughly and it didn't work so I figured I'd wait

there is always a chance that after cleaning with alcohol and visual inspection, if it still does not work, you need a multimeter in hand and measure. After connecting the USB, what voltage is present on the battery contacts (if it indicates anything at all).
post a picture of what the situation looks like

Here you have a similar topic https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3505732.html
try charging the battery on an external power supply and plug it in, see if it starts at all

    greetings

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues faced with the JBL Charge 3 speaker, specifically an unexpected shutdown after exposure to pool water. The user reports that the speaker turns off after a period of use, with a red blinking battery indicator. Responses suggest potential causes such as a short circuit due to water exposure, battery failure, or motherboard damage. Recommendations include checking the battery voltage with a multimeter, cleaning the internal components with isopropanol, and ensuring thorough drying of the device. Users emphasize that water resistance may not be absolute, and further inspection is necessary to determine the extent of damage.
