    Hello forum members,
I am struggling with the following problem. I have an LG OLED55C8 TV, which has so far been placed on the TV stand. Recently, I had an idea to complete a home theater, but I don't really have a place to fit the receiver and center speaker. Consequently, I started considering hanging the TV on the wall. And here comes the problem. The original wall is made of reinforced concrete slabs, but after renovation it was covered with a plasterboard in order to quickly level the wall. I was wondering whether just to use long expansion bolts, so that a large part of it was in a reinforced concrete slab, but I am not sure if such a structure would be durable enough. I have looked through a lot of topics for the best solution, but all of them relate to walls typically made of plasterboards. Has anyone encountered this type of problem, or could someone advise if this approach is right?

    Hello,
a long pin is OK but there are special pins for drywall, it all depends on the weight, another solution is to use a fixing frame (if you have one) plasterboard and fix it in a few pins.
I have both solutions used, one pair of rings in a wooden frame and the other in the plate itself, with a 50 "TV hanging on it
    Regards

First of all, thanks for the quick reply. ;)
According to LG, the TV weighs about 16.3 kg, so it is not particularly heavy. If you mean molly pins, I have read about them, except that when used typically for plasterboard walls, most of the topics dealt with mounting on wooden elements or a metal frame in a plasterboard wall. Unfortunately, there is no such construction in my case, the slab was glued directly to the cleaned wall made of reinforced concrete slabs. Now I searched a bit and I wonder if the problem would not be solved by buying a TV stand for VESA brackets, although I like the appearance of the TV hung on the wall.

I will say from my own experience. The TV (42 kg) hangs on my brick wall, but already the kitchen cabinets on the partition wall are made of plasterboard. Empty inside, i.e. 2 boards - a rack with wool - 2 boards. Rail for hanging cabinets attached with screws and pins of the "pigs" type. I was fastening the dowel quite densely, every 20 cm. There are 4 cabinets with a total length of 240 cm on it and nothing is happening. I drilled the holes for pigs quite tight, I screwed the pins in by hand and the screws for them too, so as not to twist.

I would have hung a TV on the plasterboard wall if, while making it, a special hanging structure had been made.
Long pins to fit into the old wall is the best solution.

Unfortunately, at the stage of renovation, I did not consider hanging the TV on the wall at all, as the room layout was initially different. Do you think the long pins will do the trick? I thought about it myself, but the fear that the TV should have a close encounter with the cabinet / floor. When I get home, I will still measure how wide this g / k record is.
