    Hello!

I look everywhere on the internet and I haven't found anywhere, including on this forum.
How to remove scratches on glass tables and ceramic hobs?
What abrasives to use and how to avoid tarnishing the glass?
    Thanks for the help
    (or some link)

Unfortunately, the picture tube is not a bare glass - it has additional layers and they will disappear after grinding! This topic has already been rolled out ;)

    Hello
There are special adhesives for glass (unfortunately I do not remember the name), with the same light refraction index as the glass, so that after carefully gluing the glass you cannot see the point of gluing. Unfortunately, I do not know what their filling properties are. In the case of scratches, it can help, the more so that you can buy adhesives of different densities. Search on google.

Recently, while browsing the Allegro, I came across (probably on the main page) an auction with a special paste-ointment thanks to which the scratches became less or not visible when rubbed into the glass. I don't remember the address, but if someone has time, he can look for it, its original use was probably to remove scratches from the display of the cell. Kisses

If you polish the glass with a sufficiently small grain (micron grain) powder, it will not become dull.
I tried it out using corundum powder and dry polishing by hand. It removes very nicely
inscriptions from light bulbs (sometimes they are needed without inscriptions). It will be difficult with scratches - a lot of sanding. :(

Oh, after removing such scratches, I advise lining the glass plate or other surface with anti-burglary foil. With good application of the foil, it is practically invisible, and it protects well against scratches.

I have not used it, but it seems to me that it is like all the others of this type (butter ;) , and if this is the case, it means that it is able to remove minor scratches, I emphasize "small" because larger ones may cause problems. best regards.

PS: Recently, I took the foil (protector) from my work, which we stick on the LCD matrix (top layer), and at the beginning I would like to advise everyone against it :) After leaving the sea, it got a lot of sand. I do not need to explain what my display looks like in my pocket after such a party ...

small scratches are car windscreen polish (turtle), removes tiny annoying scratches, and large-deep scratches are preparations mixed with water (or ready) for polishing machine (drill max 600 rpm), sold with a hard material tip - the cost is about PLN 60 - the opinions were that the matter was great - I will check for some time, first I will try with a glass cleaner, because I have scratches very tiny but a lot, and if it does not come out with this preparation for PLN 60, you can buy, for on Allegro or in automotive stores

For the first time with professional removal of scratches, welding spatter, grinding and other damage from any type of glass: tempered, semi-tempered, laminated (car windshields), bulletproof, insulating, bent glass, mirrors and others, I came across in England two years ago . It was the GForce system from the American company GlasWeld Systems. More info at www.glasweld.pl and in my opinion it is a great device. Among other known to me sets for removing scratches offered on the Polish market is the Scratch Hog system also from the American company Glass Technology. More info at www.gtglass.pl. The Scratch Hog system uses abrasives, while GForce removes all types of scratches, even deep ones, without distorting the surface.

I suggest you go to the factory where car windows are glued and talk to the guy who does it. For a small amount of money, they will probably agree to glue those scratches.

Topic summary

Effective methods for removing scratches from glass tables and ceramic hobs include using specialized glass adhesives that match the light refraction index of glass, polishing with fine-grain abrasives like corundum powder, and applying commercial scratch removal pastes. Products designed for car windshields, such as Turtle wax, can also be effective for minor scratches. For deeper scratches, professional systems like GForce from GlasWeld Systems and Scratch Hog from Glass Technology are recommended. Additionally, applying an anti-burglary foil can protect surfaces from future scratches. Users are advised to consult professionals for non-abrasive scratch removal techniques.
