A friend has such a router: Huawei b525s-23a, the Internet is on the border of 2-3 Mbps.
We need to buy an external antenna, the nearest transmitter is 5.20 km away and is 4G LTE (GSM 1800) or LTE 2600. What external antenna do we need to buy to strengthen the signal and make this internet work.
There is another receiver 5.5 km away but it only works in 4G LTE (GSM 1800) and it is the other way.
For signal and BTS tests and forcing specific bands to the B525, use https://www.lte-anbieter.info/ltewatch/count_huawei.php?Datei=ltewatch_h mn Windows or http://www.mediafire.com/ file / 79obbe81eufdt7t / Huawei_Manager_1.2_PL.apk / file for Android. LTE1800NetWorks confirmed in Żarki, LTE800 t-Mobile in Niegowa, but modernization and refarming at 1800 / 2100MHz are planned. Testing should be done outside, forcing in these applications LTE1800, LTE2100, LTE800 and finally LTE2600 in turn. You show screenshots of them and speed tests. Networks also has a permit in Suliszowice. The location is difficult, in forests.
But this is one test, in addition, it is not known on which LTE band because BTS NetWorks Suliszowice has unverified bands. Signal very weak but DL very good for not.
Hello, I live in Poznań, ul. Literacka (near the intersection with ul. E. Zoli). I have only about 280 m in a straight line to the PLUS tower and I can see it clearly after leaving the house. Unfortunately, our local fiber optic operator INEA has us deeply respected and there is no cable / fiber internet at 400-500 m of Literacka Street and it is not known when it will be (it is supposed to be last year, but nothing is happening so far).
I bought a Huawei B525s-23a router and I know that it can work in 2 GSM bands (rather LTE) at the same time, but the router is just right that there are 2 walls on the way to the tower and the GSM range on the router is 4/5. I took the router to the attic, because there are only tiles and wood on the way, but the signal is still 4 lines, not 5. Speeds in the evening, as everyone uses the net over GSM, very weak (1.8 - 2.5 Mb / s), in the morning it can be even 10-12 Mb / s download, and the upload is always much higher - in the range of 16-18 Mb / s s, and even once it was almost 30 mbps.
Question: will it be possible to buy an external antenna with a 10m cable or will it significantly improve the download speed? Someone who knows routers told me that few people use these higher LTE bands (because there must be an external antenna) and that there is a chance to improve the download in this router.
or such Antenna 4G (LTE), 3G, 2G HUAWEI, ZTE SMA DIPOL 10m ( Link )
Will it give me something? Is it worth spending PLN 100 and it will not be wasted money?
Maybe a cheaper external antenna is enough, taking into account such a close distance from the transmitter? What - can you recommend something specific?
You use Plus, so forget about fast LTE internet and that should be the end of it. Of course, the antenna is unnecessary at 300m from BTS Plus on Biskupińska 67. The poor results are the result of choosing the worst mobile operator in Poland. Low DL
Thanks for the answer. Well, it's bad, because a lot of people there use the mobile internet, because INEA broke the matter. How to change the PLUS to which operator, taking into account my area (a few hundred meters away there is also the Orange tower, which probably also has T-Mobile, as far as I know. It's a pity for the 100 GB limit, which I have already obtained in Plus for only 29.90 a month. I will try to test and put screenshots.
Hi I recently bought a lte Orange with the same router which is in the title of thread, the speed is unfortunately very weak, maximum 2mb and it drops even to 120kb, when it happens ping also jumps a lot, mainly I play games I do not care about the speed only as low and stable ping as possible I am completely green in the subject, so I would like to know if buying a device of this type will help https: // allegro .pl / offer / antenna-dual-typhoon-ii-15met-3g-4g-lte-46dbi-huawei-7535744056? msgtoken = 048a25b10f8bf5405c1e387864ffa85323220a1444b540a86acf77d00be2ff62 https: // allegro .pl / offer / power-strong-antenna-dual-3g-4g-50dbi-huaw-zte-2x10m-8242022877 Unfortunately, I do not know where bts is and on the website mapabts.pl I am not able to enter the address because the google message pops up I live on Gostyńska Street in Gdańsk, the provider is Orange.
Precision worth noting, Gostyńska in Gdańsk has a few kilometers, in this topic everything has been written about the b525 tests using Hmanager, so first the results of the B525 tests for LTE2600, LTE2100, LTE1800 and LTE800 are shown.
Thanks for the quick reply the exact address is Gostyńska 110 Unfortunately, these different types of LTE do not tell me anything, as I said, I am completely green in the subject, I would like to buy a device and connect it, but I have no idea what
The decision to take Orange without prior testing was a mistake, and this applies to all operators. The location is very difficult, BTS NetWorks are far away, the Internet without an external antenna cannot work there, and Orange consultants should know this. You should put the B525 out of the window and force the mentioned LTE bands on it, links to the Windows and Android application for band management and diagnostics are in my earlier post. You download, log in to the applications and show screenshots of them for each of these bands, the basis is whether BTS NetWorks Leźno has been modernized and as part of refarming on 1800 / 2100MHz LTE2100 was launched on it, LTE1800 to the earlier LTE800 Orange, possibly also LTE2600. t-Mobile has a permit for BTS at Smęgorzyńska 10, but it does not work. In general, don't expect miracles from Orange.
I would like to check with you the tests for Żyrardów, ul. Warynskiego 1. T-Mobile mobile internet. Due to the specific buildings limiting the exhibition, I focus on one specific station Żyrardów, Mazowieckie, ul. rtm. W.Pileckiego 82 (chimney of the PEC Municipal Heating Plant). I was supposed to throw in tests both inside and out, but the results were practically identical. At least in the context of the transfer, because I do not know what else you are reading and how. So maybe I will repeat the test outside. I noticed that the 2100MHz band is a bit better than the rest. The biggest problem with all this internet is a lot of volatility. The 2100 band gave me 15DL / 8UL, but there were also 1DL / 8UL. And some intermediate values.
I was wondering about the antenna and that's how I found this thread. Can you suggest what diagnostics should be performed? I know that 15Mb DL is a good result, but often the transfer is so hopeless that I disconnect from the wifi because the pages are not loading. I would like to add that my wifi can be used by up to 4 people and 6-7 devices at the same time, so I am also aware that sometimes it is just difficult to distribute everyone.
I can't upload photos with captions, and I described the results of the speed test only in the name of the file, which is not here. So here's a description of the speedtest photos: 0.19 / 0.00 - 2600MHz 1.02 / 7.79 - 1800MHz 4.45 / 6/78 - 800MHz 15.30 / 8.08 - 2100MHz
In addition, I checked that my router (Huawei b525s-23a) does not have the option to select one band permanently. So I have the impression that if I wanted to use one particular one, I would have to fire up the computer, fire up the soft for the test and select the appropriate band in it. Is it true?
This is a drama, the station on LTE1800 and LTE800 is clogged, sometimes it works somehow on LTE2100, but since there are such fluctuations, LTE2600 but the signal here is poor. In general, the chances of this BTS for normal internet are small, probably some on LTE2600 and maybe on LTE2100 after improving the signal on these bands but I would not count on miracles, Żyrardów and T-mobile are a poor choice, the operator sold offers without limits and the result is easy to predict, a poor network of 5 base stations can no longer cope. In addition, B525 does not aggregate LTE2600 + 2100.
The discussion revolves around finding the best external antenna for the Huawei B525s-23a router to enhance 4G LTE signal reception, particularly in areas with weak connectivity. Users share their experiences with signal testing and suggest using specific applications for diagnostics, such as LTEwatch and Huawei Manager, to identify the best LTE bands (LTE1800, LTE2100, LTE800, LTE2600) for optimal performance. Recommendations for antennas include dual-band options with high gain, and users emphasize the importance of testing signal strength and speed before and after installation. The conversation also highlights the challenges posed by distance from the nearest transmitter and the impact of local network congestion on internet speeds. Summary generated by the language model.
