If USB doesn't help, you need the NAND programmer, software dump, and wizard head.

Hi, try this restore file scrupulously following the procedure:
    - Unpack the files and put them in a formatted stick.
    - insert the key and keep the on / off button on the tvc pressed while connecting the mains plug
    - when the LED stops flashing, unplug it and remove the key
    - switch on the appliance

Since when does Philips update the TV repair software?

The software does not serve to repair televisions but to improve their performance. This however is not an update but a recovery file that allowed me to solve many cases like the one described. It is also possible to reprogram the Nand but 99% of the CI plus keys would be lost.

Topic summary

The Philips 40PFT4100/12 television is experiencing an on-off cycle displaying the logo, despite attempts to resolve the issue by inserting files via USB. Users suggest using a specific recovery procedure involving a formatted USB stick and holding the on/off button while connecting the power. This method has reportedly resolved similar issues for multiple users. Some responses indicate that the software is not for regular updates but for recovery purposes, and mention the possibility of using a NAND programmer for deeper repairs, although this may result in loss of certain keys.
