    Spoiler:
    1. Unplug the TV from the power supply (physically remove the plug from the wall outlet);
    2. Disconnect all external devices from the TV, including the antenna cable;
    3. After completing the steps, perform the procedure to force the software update. For this:
    - Download the latest software from the Philips website: https://clck.ru/GKsoU and save to PC.
    - Extract the file " autorun.upg" and place on a pre-formatted USB drive.
    - Plug the TV into the power supply and simultaneously hold down the joystick on the back of the TV to the down position. The TV should enter into the Recovery Mode.
Go to the second menu item, select the file to update and click OK.

My friend, sure the tv is broken. Here in Portugal, most of my clients only deliver equipment to the agent as a last resort (we earn little money), official assistance is very expensive. In this case I think the tv has a corrupted android system, maybe with wipedatatool would solve the problem, I do not have for this chassis.]

FAQ

TL;DR: For Philips 49PUS7909/12 boot‑loop ("stuck on logo"), try "restart-bootloop-fix" or swap the mainboard (~£105). This FAQ helps owners and repair techs with USB recovery, eMMC checks, and part IDs. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

Why it matters: It speeds up diagnosis and repair decisions for QV14.1E LA sets that fail to start.

Quick Facts

How do I force a USB recovery update on a Philips 49PUS7909/12 (QV14.1E LA)?

Use Recovery Mode.
  1. Unplug TV and disconnect all external devices.
  2. Put autorun.upg on a freshly formatted USB stick.
  3. Plug in the TV while holding the rear joystick down to enter Recovery, then select the update file. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18315780]

Where do I download firmware and what file must be on the USB?

Get the latest software from Philips support for 49PUS7909/12. Extract the package and place the autorun.upg file on a FAT32 USB. Use the TV’s Recovery Mode to select and install that file. "autorun.upg" is the expected filename. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18315780]

The firmware update didn’t fix the boot loop—what’s the likely hardware cause?

Suspect a failed eMMC. Reprogramming or replacing the eMMC, or swapping the mainboard, resolves persistent boot loops when software recovery fails. Expert note: "gone eMMC dump." [Elektroda, lisek, post #18316869]

How much does a replacement mainboard cost, and which part numbers match?

Reported pricing shows ~£105 or ~€145 for the 49PUS7909/12 mainboard. Look for label 300Rasel0000001582 and PCB 715RLPCB0000000401 (MTK5800). Verify stickers and board codes before ordering. This helps avoid incompatible variants. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

Which eMMC chips are used on this chassis?

Boards have been seen with Toshiba eMMC marked 004G90 (MMC 4.5/4.51) or H26M31003GMR. Identify the exact part on your board before planning ISP or replacement. This affects pinout and tooling. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

Can I swap a board from a 55-inch or other model into the 49PUS7909/12?

Treat cross-size swaps cautiously. There are board differences across sizes and markets. For example, a 55-inch uses eMMC THGBMAG5A1JBAIR_U007T. Quote: "są różnice w płytach." Match board codes and panel pairing to avoid incompatibility. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

What T‑con and panel are in the 49-inch version?

The 49-inch uses T‑con 6870C‑0502B (part 6874L‑3696C) with panel LC490EQE(XG)(F1). Confirm labels on your set, as using the wrong T‑con can prevent picture. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

How do I enter Recovery Mode when the TV is stuck on the Philips logo?

Plug the TV into power while holding the rear joystick in the down position. Keep it held until the Recovery screen appears. Then select the update file on your USB stick. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18315780]

The QV14.1ELA wipedatatool ZIP is empty—what should I do?

A user reported the QV14.1ELA wipedatatool archive was empty. Proceed with the forced USB update method, or consider mainboard/eMMC service if software tools are unavailable. [Elektroda, AFerreira, post #18319023]

Is an eMMC pinout or dump available for 715RLPCB0000000401 in this thread?

No. The thread does not share a pinout or dump. The original poster later confirmed they did not obtain an eMMC image and returned the set. [Elektroda, AFerreira, post #19532836]

Does updating to the latest firmware always fix the stuck-on-logo issue?

No. A report shows the latest firmware did not resolve the problem on this chassis. Hardware-level repair was still required. [Elektroda, AFerreira, post #18316865]

What power supply unit (PSU) is used with this model?

Models 49PUS7909/12 and 55PUS7909/12 use PSU FSP201‑4FS01. Confirm the PSU board code before ordering replacements to ensure compatibility. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

Should I disconnect peripherals before attempting recovery?

Yes. Unplug the TV from mains and disconnect all external devices, including the antenna, before starting the forced update. This avoids interference. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18315780]

Is there a community guide for Android TV boot loops on this platform?

Yes. A community "restart-bootloop-fix" guide is referenced for Android TV sets. Use it alongside Philips USB recovery and board checks. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]

I run a repair shop—should I reflash eMMC or swap the mainboard?

A mainboard swap avoids eMMC tooling and aligns with the ~£105–€145 board price. Reflashing requires ISP gear and known-good dumps. Choose based on turnaround and available parts. [Elektroda, lisek, post #18317505]
