Before Christmas, we did a little refreshing with Magnat ceramic paints and we see a problem that the manufacturer probably forgot about and does not warn - how to remove stains from this paint, since it is ceramic and indelible?

Of course, terracotta is not a problem, but delicate and rough window or door linings are a massacre. Is there any antidote?

100% certainty is provided only by protecting/wrapping sensitive surfaces before painting. Unfortunately.

There was security, otherwise it would have been a massacre. However, leaks, stains, drips, etc. do their job, and we did not manage to clean everything immediately.

Fortunately, the manufacturer replied - they don't have a remover, and in such cases it helps to use health and safety paste (without sand, so as not to damage the surface) or wallpaper remover.

I discovered that the Magnat ceramic paint very nicely dissolves the antibacterial gel from Herbapol in Krakow. I had a supply bought at the beginning of the pandemic and almost everything was collected by my forester's son to wash the resin from his hands. I tried and it works. Magnat ceramic is based on resins.

Yes, of course, it is based on alcohol and quite a high percentage (husband used this gel as kindling). And if you look for what can remove the resin, you will find alcohol, salicylic alcohol, denatured alcohol, or acetone. I just had this gel and it worked.

Topic summary

Magnat ceramic paints pose challenges for stain removal from delicate surfaces, as they are designed to be indelible. Users suggest that the best preventive measure is to protect sensitive areas before painting. In cases of stains, mechanical removal is often necessary. The manufacturer does not provide a specific remover, but alternatives include using a health and safety paste (without sand) or wallpaper remover. Additionally, it has been noted that an alcohol-based antibacterial gel from Herbapol can effectively dissolve stains from Magnat ceramic paint, as the paint is resin-based. Other solvents like salicylic alcohol, denatured alcohol, or acetone may also be effective in removing resin-related stains.
