    Hello,
The toothbrush probably fell after being knocked onto the floor by the cat. After opening it, it was wet with water. The battery lasted for about 2 weeks when I brushed my teeth 2 or 3 times a day. However, the toothbrush does not work. The only positive symptom is that when the toothbrush is connected to the charger, the diode lights up. Any tips on how to get the toothbrush to work?

    Edit1:
After drying, the toothbrush placed on the charger began to charge, but 2 hours after charging, the vibration still does not work.

    Edit2:
After 5 hours of charging, the white diodes disappeared and instead of a green diode there is a pulsating orange one.

In the one I recently repaired with similar symptoms from Seysso, the processor power path was broken. Also check whether the control waveform appears on the coil when you try to turn it on. In e.g. SEYSSO, the processor checks whether the coil is controlled correctly. If it does not respond at all, check whether there is voltage on the switch and the processor. In general, the diodes should show whether the toothbrush responds to the button.

Does the LED light up when you press the button? It doesn`t make any sound?

After a fall, the air gap on the coil may have disappeared and then it will not vibrate but a sound will be heard. I marked the gap in the photo. I set it to about 1 mm and filled the screws with glue to prevent the situation from happening again.

After pressing the button, the toothbrush does not vibrate and the LEDs do not light up at all. The toothbrush also does not make any sound.

Then look for cold solder joints or damage on the PCB.

I got to the toothbrush plate.

There was dirt underneath, I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. I also replaced the battery. After replacing the battery, it turned out that the toothbrush was flashing white LEDs while charging, plus a green LED. When I pressed the button, the toothbrush vibrated once and then stopped. I heated the area around the button for a while with a LODERSTAR heat gun set to 300 degrees Celsius. After the plate cooled down, the toothbrush vibrated once again.

I charged the toothbrush because the battery from the seller had a sticker stating that the battery should be fully charged. I left the toothbrush overnight. The white LEDs were on, plus the green one was flashing. And again, after 5 hours of charging, the orange diode appeared flashing. But when the button was turned on, there was a pulsating sound signal and white diodes.

By doing this, you damaged the core of the programmed system. This is the manufacturer`s protection so that they do not replace the batteries and buy new toothbrushes.
There is a JP1 jumper on the board near the charging coil, which had to be unsoldered when replacing the battery to protect the system against voltage loss.
Perhaps on Russian forums you will find the charge and what programmer you can use to reprogram it, but it is not very profitable for a single piece.

And that`s interesting 🤔 in my 2 brushes, similar models as the author`s, I desoldered the old battery, desoldered the new one and everything worked.

I saw that it was a connector but I didn`t touch it.

Yes, I know I`m reheating the cutlet 😁 but maybe this info will be useful.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Philips Sonicare toothbrush that stopped vibrating after a fall and exposure to water. The user initially reported that the toothbrush lights up when connected to the charger but does not function otherwise. Responses suggest checking for issues such as a broken processor power path, cold solder joints, or damage on the PCB. One user successfully cleaned the internal components and replaced the battery, which temporarily restored some functionality, but the toothbrush still failed to operate correctly. It was noted that improper battery replacement could damage the programmed system, and a specific jumper on the board should be unsoldered during battery replacement to avoid issues.
