Hello everyone. The Philips Sonicare HX6511 toothbrush has such an affliction that it turns on by itself, I don't know what the reason may be. I don't know if this is a problem with these brushes. I should add that the battery was replaced with a new one.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I had the same in the HX6100, I had a slight unsealing on the upper gasket

the switch on the board was flooded with paste, I will add that the paste was already dried so it must have leaked for a long time
did you change the battery yourself? There may have been some moisture

I changed the batteries myself. The switch was clean, no flooding inside, but I was wondering how it works so lightly. When it turns on by itself, just tap the brush housing and it turns off

if it is so sensitive, I bet on the button, and more specifically the membrane in the middle. undress the button, remove the upper cover of the button (it is best to bend the clamps with a knife) remove this membrane and see if it goes crazy without it. Maybe it got wet inside or it deformed from use and practically shorted the contacts

I will not disassemble the switch, because it has to be done under a microscope. For now, it has not turned on today, when it turns on again, I will dismantle it myself and wash the switch with alcohol.

yes, the zoom might come in handy :) alcohol should help if the membrane is not mechanically deformed, if it doesn't help, better look and rule out a short circuit in it
    Good luck

So far, for several days the brush has not turned on by itself and I have not touched it. If the problem persists, I will try to desolder the switch and solder a new one.

One more flaw came out, namely, during work, as if the brush stopped for a fraction of a second and so often, during one tooth brushing, I don't know if it's not the fault of the tips?

I need to choose a microswitch for the brush, maybe one of you knows how to choose the right one, I measured it and want to choose a similar one, just a question, after turning on the switch must be turned on

I do not know if the one from the auction is bistable, because it is probably needed?
    Thanks in advance.

This is a timer - the cleaning process takes 2 minutes. You should hear a signal every 30 seconds that it's time to change the portion of your teeth being brushed.

Topic summary

The Philips Sonicare HX6511 toothbrush has been reported to turn on by itself intermittently, even after a battery replacement. Users suggest that the issue may stem from a sensitive button or a malfunctioning membrane switch, potentially caused by moisture or wear. One user noted that tapping the brush housing can turn it off when it activates unexpectedly. Recommendations include inspecting the button assembly for damage, cleaning the switch with alcohol, or replacing the microswitch if necessary. Additionally, some users mentioned experiencing brief pauses during operation, raising concerns about the brush tips. The device's timer feature, which signals every 30 seconds during a 2-minute cleaning cycle, was also discussed.
