How can I install or enable the Polish language on a Garmin Venu watch?

You can set Polish in Garmin Connect or directly on the watch if the language is already available: in Garmin Connect go to Devices > Venu > General > Language, or on the watch open Settings > System > Language [#18929351] If Polish is not listed, use the Polish language file from the Venu Polish edition and copy it into the watch’s TXT/language folder [#20565434] Several users report that the file only works after deleting one existing language and renaming the Polish file to that language’s filename, for example `french.ln4` or `suomi.ln4`, then selecting that language on the watch [#19140189][#19261146][#19144504] One user also confirmed that the latest language file from the Polish Venu TXT directory works on Venu and even on Vivoactive 4 after renaming it to another supported language name [#20565434][#21129167]

The language on Venu changes on the Garmin Connect app. Garmin menu / devices, click Venu, select "general" and look for a language there.

You can also use the watch: you hold the bottom button "you enter the menu", click on the "gear" (settings) / system, the second from the top is the language.

    Hi
    Download file
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/hby3t6n3ph0kd3w/polish.ln4?dl=0

I just loaded and it works fine, but I had to remove one of the languages (I chose French) and changed the name of the file with Polish to "French"

I downloaded the file, thank you.
But as after exploring the catalogs on the watch, he adds to the directory with languages, then after disconnecting from the computer, this file disappears and the watch does not see it, after reconnecting to the computer, this file is missing
I tried to remove another language, e.g. Finnish, and it worked
Do you have an idea how to save this file permanently?

Changing the name helped me, if you deleted the Finnish language, change the name to "suomi" in the file "polish"
Unfortunately, in the watch you will have to choose the "Suomi" language and it will be Polish
I tried in various ways and only this one I succeeded, i.e. delete one existing file and change the name in Polish to the one that was deleted.

I emphasize that then you have to use language in nemu, which has been deleted, because its name will remain so.

I don't know if it can be done otherwise.

So I have to paste the downloaded file Poland.in4 into the text folder and change it to the name of what you wrote, and jyz is enough and it is enough to disconnect the watch from the computer and search for French on the watch, for example, sorry for such trivial questions but I am green in all of this, greetings and thanks for the time

    Hello,
I have vivomove 3s, I had the Polish language file downloaded, I did the same, i.e. replacing the file and name, but when trying to set the language on the watch, the watch jammed. Now only a white triangle (such as the logo) is displayed and the watch is not responding, neither the computer nor the phone can see it. Can anyone solve this problem?

    .

The above file also works on the VIVOACTIVE 4 model.
I uploaded by changing the name to "brazilia.ln4" and I have the Polish language :)
    Thanks!

FAQ

TL;DR: 3-step rename adds Polish on Garmin Venu; "Changing the name helped me." Replace a language .ln4 in the Text folder, then select that language. This is for Venu/Vivoactive owners who can't see Polish in menus or Express and need a quick fix. [Elektroda, multivac535, post #19144504]

Why it matters: It lets you enable Polish fast while avoiding common pitfalls like disappearing files or device freezes.

Quick Facts

How do I add Polish to my Garmin Venu using the file method?

Use a simple 3-step rename:
  1. Delete one language file you don’t need on the watch.
  2. Load the Polish language file onto the watch.
  3. Rename the Polish file to the deleted language’s filename (e.g., “French”), then select that language. “I just loaded and it works fine.” [Elektroda, multivac535, post #19140189]

Where do I copy the language file on the watch?

Connect the watch to a computer, open its storage, and paste the file into the Text folder. Users mention placing poland.in4 there, then renaming to match a replaced language. Select that language on the watch after disconnecting. [Elektroda, patsi21, post #19261611]

How do I change language via Garmin Connect or on the watch?

You have two options. In Garmin Connect: Menu > Devices > Venu > General > Language. On the watch: hold the bottom button, tap the gear (Settings), go System, then choose Language (second from the top). “The language on Venu changes on the Garmin Connect app.” [Elektroda, leon_w, post #18929351]

The Polish file disappears after unplugging—how do I keep it?

Replace an existing language instead of adding a new filename. For example, delete Finnish, then rename the Polish file to “suomi.” Choose Suomi on the watch; it will show Polish content. “Changing the name helped me.” [Elektroda, multivac535, post #19144504]

Do I need to delete another language to add Polish?

Yes, one user reported success only after removing a language first. They deleted French, then renamed the Polish file to that language’s filename. After selecting French on the watch, the interface displayed Polish. [Elektroda, multivac535, post #19140189]

Can I just rename poland.in4 to french.in4 and choose French?

Yes. One owner changed poland.in4 to french.in4 on the watch. After selecting French in the menu, the interface switched to Polish and worked. This approach avoids the file disappearing issue. [Elektroda, Lichy666, post #19261146]

Will this method work on Vivoactive 4 as well?

One user confirmed it on Vivoactive 4 by renaming the file to “brazilia.ln4.” After selecting that language, the watch displayed Polish. This suggests cross‑model compatibility for the rename approach. [Elektroda, LightOfWinter, post #21129167]

Can these file tweaks brick my watch?

There is a risk. A Vivomove 3s user reported a freeze showing only a white triangle, with no PC or phone detection after a language-file change. If that happens, stop and contact support. [Elektroda, alexxx777, post #19341518]

Garmin Express doesn’t offer Polish—what should I try instead?

Use the Garmin Connect path or the on-watch Settings route to switch language. If Polish still isn’t listed, consider the file-rename method described in other answers. This gives you two official paths before file edits. [Elektroda, leon_w, post #18929351]

If I removed Finnish, what should I name the Polish file?

Rename the Polish file to match the deleted language’s filename. For Finnish, rename it to “suomi.” Then select Suomi on the watch; Polish will display under that slot. This avoids the file being auto-removed. [Elektroda, multivac535, post #19144504]

Who can help if I still can’t get Polish working?

Contact Garmin Support. A user who struggled reported, “Problem solved. Garmin support helped.” They can guide you through official steps or service if needed. [Elektroda, Patinka23, post #18889555]
