    Hello,
I bought the Asus RT-AC750 router and wanted to connect it to the CB from UPC and immediately the stairs ...
I acted according to the points from here -> link
This is exactly what the manufacturer's instructions say.
All cables connected as described above: cable from LAN CB to WAN of the router, and LAN from the router to the laptop - the LEDs are on.
So I go to 198.168.1.1 and page cannot be displayed .
    What's the problem ?

But how to connect to the computer itself? ethernet cable?
I connected what was included with the router and after entering the address of the router, nothing is displayed.
Maybe I need to change the network card somehow because this computer is connected to WIFI?

And did you turn off CB and Asus from power for at least 30 seconds for CB to download a new IP?

Connect wired to Asus and configure it.

    ConnectBox set to Bridge mode?

To the author of the thread - most often, not to say always, CB has active IPv6, which means that there is no bridge mode (after logging into CB there is no bridge mode - modem).
To do this and switch to the modem in CB, you should have IPv6 turned off by My UPC, in the help tab, select "No connection to VPN, network games, no Bridge option, No Port Forwarding option".
After a few minutes, the CB will restart and the bridge mode will be selected.

Yes, I turned it off, and in the CB settings I saw the router as a connected device.
I'm connected with a LAN cable but I still can't enter the router settings.
I have a network card on my laptop, but it is connected to WIFI, so I asked if I should change something?
Ok, I'll try to switch to ip4.

Turn off WiFi in the laptop when you connect Asus to it, check in the manual if you enter the correct IP to get to the configuration.

Maybe because you are trying to go to a public not private IP address ;-) . Unless it's a typo here on the forum. Your router's default network has an address 192.168.1.1 , ConnectBox 192.168.0.1 , in bridge mode it should respond to the address 192.168.100.1

Yes, it was a typo but I can't access this router anyway.
BTW, when I turned off WIFI, I noticed that in the connection properties I have:
    IPv4 connection: Internet
    IPv6 connection: No internet connection
I understand that it means that I have ip4 turned on (I can switch CB to modem in its settings*) and contact with UPC is not necessary.

*) If I set the CB as a modem, then how can I restore the settings to the router if I do not have access to the Internet and I cannot enter the address 192.168.0.1?
I had to do a reset.

Is this router new or second hand? Reset your ASUS router to factory settings. If you can't access 192.168.1.1, you may be able to access Asus from http://router.asus.com. As for IPv4 and IPv6, you have it turned on, but support for version 6 on UPC modems is for some reason combined with the bridge mode blockade. You will have to call and present the reason as mentioned above.

Check here if you have active ipv6:

I had to do a reset.

Because modemrouter and modem mode have different addressing.
    UPC Modem Router: 192.168.0.1
    UPC Modem: 192.168.100.1

In addition, the UPC modemorouter, whether it is a router or a modem, does not interfere with getting to Asus under yet another IP.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting connection issues when connecting an Asus RT-AC750 router to a ConnectBox UPC. The user followed the manufacturer's instructions but encountered difficulties accessing the router's settings via the IP address 192.168.1.1. Responses suggest ensuring the ConnectBox is set to bridge mode, turning off WiFi on the laptop during the connection, and checking for correct IP addressing. Users also recommend resetting the Asus router to factory settings and verifying IPv4 and IPv6 configurations, as the ConnectBox may block bridge mode with active IPv6. The importance of using the correct IP addresses for both devices is emphasized, with suggestions to access the router through http://router.asus.com if the default IP fails.
