Hello. I do not know if the department is good, but I am writing here to ask the moderator to move something.
I live in United Kingdom. I have digital Polsat. Is it possible to run the HBO GO website for viewing in the UK on a computer? Of course, I have my IP in the UK. I was talking and the lady on the chat says that there is no chance that you even need to register from a computer in Poland. Plus, the UK is outside the EU.

I thought the VPN, but the lady in the chat said that she turned off the service because the VPN hides the IP and if HBO detects it, they are not able to determine where the subscriber is and turn it off.

"" To use hbogo.pl, it is necessary to have a device with a visible IP address located in the EU. I cannot guarantee that using a VPN will allow you to watch gbo go in the UK ""

I can't try it because it's supposed to be free for 7 days on HBO, but it immediately shows me that I'm abroad. I would have to activate the service on Polsat's digital account and use Polsat data to register on HBO. Then, when it detects my ip when logging in from the computer, it will write that I am not in Poland. I talked on the chat and after registering HBO in Poland, because I can do it on Polsat, I can watch it on mobile devices abroad, but from January 1, excluding the UK.

What will it do for me? Check the IP network? I don't know about my ISP. I have SKY what will happen when my IP disappears. Anyway, in the network You can see the IP sky is not mine. I don't know exactly how it works.

It works so that it indicates a location other than the one you are in.
If you have someone in Poland who has a permanent connection to a public IP, you can create a hardware VPN.

I have a house in Poland and I have a permanent connection in Poland, but I'm not there physically, so I don't even have remote access, they've put on a light and put devices on it, I know that much. VPN would have to indicate for hbo ip from Poland, but then my sky provider will not be stormy when I install vpna?

Is there any free trial vps for trial?

So you could put a router in PL, configure a VPN on it, in the UK another and it's ready.
Read about such solutions in the Networks section, you would then be visible under the Polish IP.

I have a router here from the sky provider and I can not put another or set vpn on the router. It is basically an adsl + modem with a router.

The ISP sees no changes. The IP address will only change for the target server, i.e. in the case of a colleague for the HBO server.

Using a proxy or VPN is simple. It is best to choose a proven company in Poland and buy a service, be it a proxy or a VPN.
In my case, I have a proxy, because I don't see the need to encrypt sports broadcasts, e.g. from Ipla.
Everyday use is very simple - clicking turn proxy on / off.

The company whose services I have been using for several years offers a monthly subscription of PLN 10. This is not an excessive amount in my opinion and I think a colleague could try.

If a colleague is interested, I can provide more information.

As the saying goes - "The devil is not that scary ..." :)

As for encryption, there is a question about my connections to banks, logging into accounts and playing on the stock exchange. Using a proxy is then safe. Do I use the proxy, enable / disable it only when I watch hbo or is it running all the time? Cause I understand vpn can be on all the time.

Here a distinction should be made between encryption. Encryption to a bank or exchange is one thing, and a VPN connection that has its own encryption is another.

Only then do we use a proxy or VPN, depending on which service we have purchased.

It can be turned on, why not, but then we have the IP address from where we use the VPN or proxy. And in some situations this can be inconvenient.
If my friend's bank, I assume that the one located in England, would see the login with the Polish IP, it could start causing trouble. In a sense, additional login authentication.

It happened to me a few times that I forgot to turn off the proxy and, having a Polish IP, I wanted to log into my account in an American bank. Of course, I immediately realized where the extra precautions by the bank had come from. And rightly so.

Also, I use the proxy only when I need it, i.e. for sports broadcasts from Poland, or some VOD, if I want a Polish film.

I logged in from Poland from my IP in Poland, no problem. VPN or proxy would have to be on all the time. I usually use not always, but usually two monitors, on one I watch a series or something and I have a broker on the other. When something happens, the show pauses and I do the necessary operations on the broker. Turning on and off is an added hassle. If using an unencrypted proxy has any risk of hijacking passwords or the like, I would prefer to use vpn.

As I understood correctly, my friend was already logging into the website in England using the Polish IP. And it was without problems.
It is then a proxy or VPN that can be permanently enabled. Which will enable viewing the HBO website in Poland and logging in to the English website.

If the website or other service has "http NS : // ... "this means that this connection is encrypted.
A VPN will only bring in extra encryption.
Of course, nothing prevents you from using a VPN. Here you go.

I live in UK and want to watch HBO in UK but I need Polish IP. Logging in meant that there is no problem to a bank in the UK from Poland. So when I use a proxy, connections with the bank, for example, are encrypted anyway. And when I use vpn, they are additionally encrypted? My ip is redirected to Polish ip and from there I can access the net. So understand it? And the connection between me and vpn is encrypted and the connection between me and the proxy is not?

Well, everything I had to say has already been said.
All in all, a colleague can use a proxy or VPN without any worries. In both cases, the transmissions will be protected.
Besides, it doesn't hurt to do a little search on the network and find information about the operation of the proxy / VPN.
As far as the colleague has any doubts.

The idea of getting a VPN for your home can have one downside. Remember that traffic will then go from the HBO server to the location in Poland, and then from the location in Poland to the UK, so the Upload speed at the location in Poland is important. Often the links are unbalanced and while the Download is sufficient to pull the content, the same does not necessarily apply to Upload in order to further upload it to the world.

I tried different solutions, answers from:
    * NordVPN: We are sorry to say that this particular stream does not work with our servers.
    * VPN Unlimited: Currently we support US HBO GO only.
Does not work with Smart DNS, Cyberghost, ProtonVPN.
Maybe someone has already cleared the path and will share.
Heard that how do you have a decoder with digits. pol $ atu it works by the decoder but I have no way to confirm it

A friend has a Polish vpn and claims that it works. There must be a vpn giving a Polish ip address for the hbo service regardless of which ip you are connecting from. Must be Polish vpn.

I already have one for a trial and it works. But if so, there is no need to buy access for a year or something because I can be banned at any time.

They won't do anything. I know that they remove if there is a hidden ip or from abroad, but Polish is ok no matter what. by the way, if someone pays, I don't know why.
