Seeking Firmware for Onkyo TX-NR616 Receiver: Issues with HDMI, Sound Output, VSP & VMPU Seeking Firmware for Onkyo TX-NR616 Receiver: Issues with HDMI, Sound Output, VSP & VMPU Hi
    All

I have no HDMI out or sound out on this receiver
    Randomly it has stopped working
In the debug model when I look at the firmware for vsp and vmpu, I get no question marks, just V and K

I have tried to update by USB and Ethernet and get the same error

    5-82 on vsp and vmpu

Please can someone send me the firmware so that I can program this myself or upload it

alternatively can I use the UART cable

Please can someone reply and assist me, I will be really grateful and appreciate it so much

    Many Thanks

    Kind Regards

I have been thinking it might be a voltage problem but I can't get to the regulators as they are on the bottom of the board.
Can I do any tests from the top or can I flip the board over with something underneath and test and
in order to do this do all the cables need to be attached
    Thanks so much
please can someone help who has worked on these boards
can someone tell me which regulators please
    thanks so much

I have the same but in Onkyo TX-NR818.

The update on VMPU did not go ... and if VMPU fails, then VSP also, On VMPU there is a compiled program and without its source code nothing can be done .. I have Ulink2 and as much as I was able to communicate with the TMPM361F10FG microprocessor and delete it ....

I love the same problem once. Cause the voltage on the pins of the RX hdmi chip. In my case, this circuit had an internal short circuit. He got quite hot and the 1.8V line was only a few mV.

How did you get it to communicate with the CPU chip? J-link keeps showing error. Can you show wiring and make video of setup please
    Thanks

Jak udało ci się zmusić go do komunikacji z chipem procesora? J-link ciągle pokazuje błąd. Czy możesz pokazać okablowanie i nagrać wideo z konfiguracji?
    Dzięki
