Hi! Is it possible to remove the unused gas pipe from the apartment and the piece behind the meter where it terminates in the plumbing closet without major formal-legal combinations?

If it is a proprietary apartment, I think so. You give up the gas, submit some paper to the gas company. They remove the meter, seal the valve in front of the meter, and what you do with the pipe is your business.

They only take off the meter, the installation is not their problem unless you pay extra for the removal.
After removing the meter, after all, you no longer have the gas installation, only the pipes on the wall. Whether they can be removed is a separate matter of ownership of the apartment.

If the meter was in the house, for example, in the kitchen and the pipe ran through the apartment, you can also apply for shortening or complete disconnection of the installation, for example, at the point of connection to the riser.

That is, the pipe in front of the meter in the riser and behind the meter in the house

This should already be arranged separately after consultation with the administration, especially as it concerns the riser. On the riser can not just any fitter operate cutting off the gas.

In my case, it was like this when I got rid of gas in favor of an induction stove : A guy comes in unscrews the meter, screws a "plug" on the inlet pipe without any seals there and drops. That I turned off the main valve, but it seems to me that he should check if the gas is coming out. All this took maybe 2-3min. A guy comes in wrench probably min. 32 rach ciachu and spadówa only told me to take a picture of the meter readings and the guy is not there.

This is normal, to them they often pay commissions on the number of services performed so it pays to do quickly. :)

When we did the renovation of a friend's bachelor apartment was literally identical, he turned off the gas, came in and twisted the keys, turned the plug , put the meter in the bag and out. He didn't even check for leaks because he knew we wanted to cut off the pipe in the apartment.
The meter was in the kitchen it was arranged yet with the administration to cut off the riser , the valve was already there so the problem was tiny.
Then it went easy, we took down the pipes in the house ourselves and shortened the pipe to the riser because they did not agree to cut off the apartment from possible ever access to gas. We put a blanking plug fortunately there was an elbow right at the entrance to the apartment it was not necessary to thread. Then a small pavilion and you can not see the cap with a piece of elbow.

Easy but paperwork at every step and waiting for a decision, in our case the operational time is 8 days. :) .

The subject is settled. I still inquired with the administration, so that there would be no wtf - after disconnecting the installation of the pipes I could take off in the apartment, and in my adm somehow did not care much :) .

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the process of removing an unused gas installation behind the meter in an apartment building. Participants clarify that if the apartment is proprietary, the gas meter can be removed by submitting paperwork to the gas company, which will seal the valve. However, the removal of the gas pipes is a separate issue that may require consultation with the building administration, especially if the pipes are connected to a riser. Some users share their experiences, noting that the gas company typically does not handle the removal of pipes unless additional fees are paid. After disconnecting the gas, users can remove the pipes themselves, provided they have the necessary permissions. The conversation emphasizes the importance of following legal and administrative procedures to avoid complications.
