Hi. I want to see which BTS I'm connecting with. I have Play.

Network cell info shows me a different ID than btsy in the area. I am using the bts search map.

The station is not added to the btsearch.pl database, where are you using it? In general, it's a drama because you have very poor signal parameters on pseudo LTE800, this band in Play is irrelevant, it's only 5MHz wide and usually clogged amen. PCI on LTE1800 appears in the neighbors, but these are the remains of the signal.

In NCI, go to the Map tab and you will see BTS's location. For some reason, it connects me to the transmitter 30km from me, even though I have 4 BTSs within 5km :P

This map shows heresies. I haven't suggested it for a long time. Now it shows me BTS 0.5 km from the house in the bushes.

You are unlucky because it seems that you are located between two sectors on this BTS, as evidenced by similar signal parameters from two different PCI, both on LTE800 and LTE800, unfortunately, but inside the coverage is only on LTE800. Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around identifying the Base Transceiver Station (BTS) a user’s phone is connecting to while using the Play network. The user notes discrepancies between the BTS ID shown in the Network Cell Info (NCI) app and the BTS Search Map. Responses suggest checking the NCI map for BTS locations, with some users experiencing issues connecting to distant transmitters despite being near multiple BTSs. Concerns are raised about poor signal quality on LTE800 and the relevance of the band in the Play network. Users share links to maps and screenshots to illustrate their situations, indicating confusion over the accuracy of the BTS Search Map and signal parameters.
