Despite replacing the filter with a new one and cleaning it regularly, the vacuum cleaner switches to a lower suction power when working on turbo and reports error 10 stating that the filter needs to be replaced or cleaned. The error does not disappear after replacing with a new filter. I'm asking for advice.
If this does not help, the only option left is service.
Hard Reset XIAOMI MIJIA ROBOROCK S50
1. Open the top cover. 2. Press the "Recharge" and "Reset System Settings" buttons simultaneously 3. Keep them until you hear the voice prompt "Restore Factory Defaults". 4. Then all settings will be reset.
Hello, I have a problem with my robot, it keeps saying the filter is wet or blocked... the filters have been replaced and the reset has been done, but it doesn't say anything about returning to factory settings... I even installed the app again and on a new account...
I had the same thing. It's not about the filter next to the dust container, but the sponge at the air outlet of the vacuum cleaner... (in my case it stunk while cleaning)... but to get to it, in my case you have to unscrew the housing from the bottom and the part where it is speaker and air outlet... with about 12 screws, if not better, and there is a sponge there that collects dust. Actually, it's probably a deliberate aging of the product because you can't clean it yourself when the equipment is under warranty - because you won't unscrew the screws? and the engine has no place to blow the air out... you know it. find a video on YT about this error ps. I have the first version of Xiaomi. I hope we are talking about the same model.
Good morning to all forum members. Today I managed to get rid of the problem you are writing about; Roborock S7 patient, often when vacuuming at maximum power, a message about a clogged or wet filter appeared. Washing or replacing the filter did not help. Today the problem repeated itself even though I had removed the mop, which made me frustrated and forced me to take action. The dirt container was almost empty, the filter was also clean, and the device reduced its suction power. I took out the container, noticed that there was a lot of dirt around it again (the tightness of the connection between the container and the housing near the brush left much to be desired), which gave me a reason to change the place of searching for a solution to the problem, and I looked at the air path behind the dust container. Bingo! Behind the container there is an entrance to the vacuum cleaner covered with a fine mesh on which I had a 2mm disk of dirt "glued" (something similar to what is created on the filter in clothes tumble dryers), I took it out to check if it was not a filter of some sort (well it wasn’t it was 😜 ), I treated the whole thing with a vacuum cleaner and the problem disappeared 👍🏼 Try to check this element for yourself.
In the S5, things are not so good - you have to disassemble the entire vacuum cleaner, because the mess keeps accumulating. I think it`s S5? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNE1TGzaHeg
According to another school, you need to blow something hard from the other side of the vacuum cleaner to make the dirt fly out. But I have no idea how to do it
If I were you, I would try to place the vacuum cleaner pipe between the dust container and the input of the robot's suction fan. He sealed the connection with a cloth as much as possible, but on the other side? 🤔 There are always lungs left: wipe the outlet, put your mouth on it and blow with all your might (short and hard) connected vacuum cleaner; should help. I know it sounds quite strange, but this is how I recently cleaned a ceramic radiator, the casing was already starting to melt and there were clouds of dust on the element; lungs vacuum cleaner were enough, (I didn't want to disassemble the radiator because it's still under warranty) I think it should also help a little with the job.
There's probably an S6 in the video - screenshot at the beginning of the video (on a green background).

I tried once, but without conviction. Even if it succeeds, it will probably only be a half-measure and the suction power will be limited by what remains. And when I take it apart, I will remove the exhaust filters, because what are they for?
I’m surprised that these filters are built in this way at all, probably the engineers designing these devices were too optimistic. Cleaning the exhaust filter and the intake, which I wrote about earlier, should be included as a standard activity to be performed by the user, and therefore it should be possible to perform it by designing the filter housing in such a way that it can be dismantled as in a regular vacuum cleaner.
PS a mattress pump is also good for blowing; certainly better than lungs 🤭, of course the best way to do this is to disassemble the device, but of course the discussion is towards bypassing it.
I think that the engineers designed it this way for a reason - undoubtedly someone inspired them that "the service is also about people, they have to make a living from something" . Cleaning at the service center costs PLN 150.
For me, removing the exhaust filters increased the noise level, and error 10 still occurred. After dismantling the turbine, I saw a dramatic sight; the turbine inlet was blocked by 95%. After cleaning, my S6 breathed a sigh of relief. I think I will need systematic cleaning once a year.
Hello, for some time now I have been getting error no. 10 about the filter. I tried replacing the filter with a new one - without success, the only thing that helped was disassembling and cleaning the turbine and the outlet next to it. It works like a new one, the errors no longer appear I recommend cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner once a year. When it comes to disassembling the device, it is not that difficult, unfortunately, to get to the turbine and the outlet (there is a sponge at the outlet that also needs to be cleaned) you have to disassemble the entire device, but it is very simple, an hour of fun and it works as good as new)

Correct. But it`s pathetic that everything has to be dismantled. For the average Kowalski/Kowalska this is impossible. They won`t even know what the cause is or how to deal with it.
I started it. I cleared it. I once tried it myself, without any video, but I didn't know that the flap with buttons in my S5 only presses into place. I took courage and the catches released. I've reached the end of the video After cleaning the blower and putting it back together, the robot is as good as new. You can't hear it at all!
But it`s crap, you`re vacuuming with a torn filter in the tank or something, after all, whatever gets sucked in, blows away. I opened my S6 after 4 years because I had to replace the motherboard, there was nothing on the strainer, nor a simple coating on the sponge, and I have a very large house.
Are you vacuuming with a torn filter in the tank or something?
- no, everything is replaced on an ongoing basis. This is what a vacuum cleaner looks like after 4.5 years of driving around a 68-meter house. It still went through the blower and settled on this sponge with a mesh at the end. Dust particles pass through the filter and settle on this strainer. I don't have any special crap in my house, most of the floors are tiles, only two rugs and that's what it looks like... BTW: Ad hoc blind cleaning can be done with a flexible hose inserted into this large diffuser
Hello How about this problem. I bought a used vacuum cleaner, exactly S5. Everything worked as it should, no problems, until I replaced the filter. I bought a replacement, installed it and it runs at the highest speed despite different operating modes set depending on the rooms. I thought it might be clogged inside, so I opened it and vacuumed it, still the same. I think I will reset it, it didn't help. When I turned off the carpet mode in the application, it started vacuuming properly. And now the question is whether it is the fault of the filter itself, that it may be too thick, or the fault of the engine itself?
The discussion revolves around the Xiaomi Roborock S50 vacuum cleaner, which is experiencing error 10, indicating a filter issue despite regular cleaning and replacement. Users suggest performing a hard reset to restore factory settings as a potential solution. Others report similar problems, with some indicating that the issue may stem from a clogged air path or exhaust filters rather than the main filter. Disassembling the device to clean the turbine and air outlet is recommended, as accumulated dirt can significantly affect suction power. Users express frustration over the difficulty of accessing internal components for maintenance, highlighting a design flaw that complicates user serviceability.
