    Hello,

Unfortunately I encountered continued problems with the configuration of Hoymiles microinverters and DTU-Pro for data/communication.

    Earlier thread here: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3816935.html

Earlier as I didn't have an account yet unfortunately after logging into the DTU I changed something in the IP configuration and now the configuration doesn't want to go through.

DTU fires up, WiFi network is visible.
I can connect with my phone to the WiFi network created by this DTU.
I can already log in to the installer application (installer account).

The problem, however, is that the application can't retrieve any information from the DTU (some kind of connection error).
I guess that, unfortunately, this is a problem with the fact that I previously modified the IP address in the DTU settings myself so that it would work on my network - apparently I made a mistake somewhere.

On the back panel of the DTU is the "RST" button.
This is a classic button where you usually press e.g. a pen waits for some seconds and the settings reset.
I've been trying to hold it down, however, and the DTU does not want to reset its settings to factory defaults - it gives no sign at all that it is resetting anything.

Did anyone reset Hoymiles DTU-Pro to factory settings?
I tried to press the button for a longer time normally during operation or during startup but no result.
    Any ideas?

Great thanks for any advice ;) .

    Exactly so.
I press the RST button - "reset button".

Finding information on the site of some Portuguese youtuber in the comments under the video, I found a note that you need to hold this button for 7 seconds.
Factually after 7 seconds, the leds begin to flash differently for a while.

However, I don't see the effects of the reset.
When I connect over WiFi I still get the old IP address after DHCP (it was unplugging the DTU from the power supply and completely rebooting the system on the phone).
It's as if this reset doesn't fully work...

    Any ideas?

And do you connect directly to it or through the wifi network you connected it to?

    I connect directly to him.
He does not connect to any WiFi network.
I have not reached the stage to connect to any WiFi network.
I also have an RJ45 cable available with network access (DHCP) but it also does not connect to the Internet.
Even if I put up an open WiFi network without any security it will not connect.

I connect directly to its WiFi network.
DTU on its network gives me an IP address after DHCP and that would probably be enough...
I can connect from my laptop to DTU's WiFi.
Ping from the laptop to the IP address that DTU has arrives (all the time it is only DTU's WiFi network).
Nothing else I have been able to get at this point....

Connect to it with a wire. Maybe this will do something

I have exactly the same thing.
Connecting via ETH cable doesn't actually change anything. The router to which I connect sees the DTUpro, assigns it an address but it is impossible to connect to it. Even manually entering network parameters (instead of DHCP) does not help.
Two devices checked and the same thing. Factory settings after reset and re-set and same thing.
    What could be wrong
We are in the process of downloading another router because we suspect that the two checked are faulty.

Is there any error in the above settings. Can someone compare it?

I think the above settings apply to communication with the Hoymiles server - I do not know.
Mi over ethernet also did not connect - over wifi immediately.

It is possible to set DTU to connect to the Internet via cable.
You turn on data transfer or wifi with Internet access. You turn on location. You fire up S-Miles Cloud. You click on the key at the bottom, then network configuration. You allow access to the location and then connect to the network DTUP-12345678 and click back on wifi settings. You select ethernet connection in S-Miles Cloud and then restart. In addition, you disable STA in the wifi settings at 10.10.100.254 and restart.
Now your DTU will connect to the Internet via cable. The downside is that I couldn't get into the DTU by strangling the local IP address 192.168. . - connecting over wifi you can, but over ethernet I didn't manage - I know there is a different IP, but still lime. All in all, it's not a problem, because we have the same thing on 10.10.100.254

You can still monitor in real time (every 1 second) the operation of our panels and microinverters.
You turn on data transfer or wifi with internet access. You turn on location. You fire up S-Miles Cloud. You click on the key at the bottom, then Local Installation Assistant. You allow location access and then connect to the DTUP-12345678 network and click back in the wifi settings. You see all the current operating parameters of your installation.

Do any of you know how to transfer the view of the current operating parameters of a PV installation to a computer or smartphone (off-site)?
Does anyone have a python script? DTU has RS485 - in addition to connecting the meter, can RS485 be used to read current operating parameters? Or maybe more simply over wifi? I should add that the script from Chris Cholewiak does not work for me.

I had about 3.5 kWh produced today and around 2:00 pm there was no connection to the microinverter, so I restarted it through the app and at the end of the day it shows me today's production of 0.2 kWh.
How is this possible? I know that the energy produced has obviously not disappeared and has been consumed, but why in today's production do I not see this? Someone has already encountered this?

    EDIT.
Today is the whole story from yesterday. 3.56 kWh - it looks like everything was saved.

The question is do I necessarily need the Hoymiles DTU-Pro for, for example, the Hoymiles HM-1500 without it?
Will it work only without monitoring ?

For the less savvy, such as me, who agonized over this all day, pro-tip:
when connecting to Hoymiles DTU, whatever, in the application you should select during network configuration not the wifi network distributed by your router, but the network produced by DTU, such as something like this: DTUL-61207004.
Then you can set it up with login credentials for your local wifi network

Hello and has anyone had the following problem with dtu-pro, that it supposedly connects to the network but as soon as the micro inverters wake up ie. No morning as production starts, the dtu disconnects from the application? When I restart the dtu the connection returns for a while, the moment I get the signal from the micro inverter the dtu is disconnected from the network....

Have you managed to solve this problem? I have exactly the same thing and so far all my ideas are not working.

Hi, is it possible in dtu to reset the production from the beginning?

The production is stored in the cloud, not in DTU.

The production is saved in your account. By resetting DTU-Pro to factory settings and setting up another account, you have zeroed production. Of course, microwaves remember the amount of energy produced, as someone wrote above.

Buddy, please, if you know then write, if not then let it go. The reset button can not be restored to factory settings by pressing it briefly, long or holding it when turning it on. If you know another way, please provide it.

Has anyone a solution for this problem?
It might be the best to return the DTU to the seller during the warranty period.
    Same issue here:
Able to connect to DTU wifi and receiving IP and Router IP as in the manual.
(DNS uses also DTU's router IP)
But the S-Miles App does not recognize the connection.
Not able to set the Internet connection credentials.
Also not able to open any configuration page via Browser.

This should be an easy task.
I hope someone has a solution.

    How it can't be done

You hold reset on the rear panel 10s, after this time all the LEDs go out then reset to factory settings.

You connect to the AP DTUP-xxxxxxxx and in the browser type in the IP http://10.10.100.254/ type in the login: admin password: admin and you already have access to the Chinese version of the web server in the upper right corner switch to English. Now you can play with the configuration.
