I’d like to see if anyone here has experience with Hoymiles micro inverters.

I installed a plant on my own but I’m unable to use the installed app and it seems this is the only way to properly monitor and configure my plant.

The person who helped me acquire this system isn’t helping, I sent an email to Hoymiles but no response.

An installer account is required to start monitoring the installation. Where the installer has to enter the serial number of the DTU and the serial number of the micro inverters.
    Has anyone done this ?

    .
OpenDTU is sufficient to monitor the installation

    Hey, thanks for the response!

A plant was created by the person who sold me the solar panels, correct serial numbers have been confirmed, however, the panels never connected to the DTU.

I downloaded the installer app and used a guest account to connect to the DTU with the toolkit and added the micro inverter serial numbers again in there and data started coming in through the end user app for about half an hour and then stopped.

The installer isn’t being helpful, didn’t even want to upgrade the firmware on the DTU as he thinks I’m doing something wrong and that’s the reason the DTU won’t work.

    Hello,

I followed the instructions to the “t”, the DTU is properly connected to the WiFi, with flashing green lights and no more than 15 meters away from the micro inverters.

When I used the installer app in guest mode like I mentioned, I got the DTU communicating with the micro inverters for exactly 30 minutes, I feel the problem lies in the plant being configured before the DTU went online so the configuration hasn’t properly been uploaded to the s-miles cloud.

I'll ask again if the devices are added to the S-miles account?
And are they in the list of devices?

what is the status of the devices ?

    Hello,

Yes, the devices were added to the plant, here’s the picture of the plant details, all serial numbers are verified correct.

Topic summary

The discussion addresses connectivity and monitoring issues with Hoymiles micro inverters after a self-installation. Monitoring requires an installer account to register the DTU and micro inverter serial numbers. Although the plant was created by the seller and serial numbers confirmed, the micro inverters failed to maintain connection with the DTU. Temporary data transmission occurred when using the installer app in guest mode, but stopped after about 30 minutes. The DTU is confirmed to be properly connected to Wi-Fi within 15 meters of the micro inverters, with correct indicator lights. The problem likely stems from the plant configuration being created before the DTU was online, preventing proper upload to the s-miles cloud. Firmware upgrade of the DTU was suggested but not performed due to installer reluctance. OpenDTU software was mentioned as an alternative monitoring tool. Troubleshooting steps include verifying Wi-Fi connectivity, device presence in the router’s connected devices list, and adherence to the DTU Lite S manual instructions.
