    I am the unhappy owner of a standard Sagemcom router included in the fiber optic package from T-mobile. The problem is that the router has blocked port forwarding, bridge mode and removed the GUI. I need help configuring the TP-Link Archer A6 AC1200 router. I learned from the technicians that the protocol is to be PPPoE, the router is to support VLAN and be in the 802.1Q standard. I couldn't google anything sensible about it, I tried to follow the advice given by the tech department and nothing worked. I am thinking about replacing the firmware in a private router. I already tried PPPoE in the panel, I set the VLAN ID to 35 as they mentioned, but apparently I must be doing something wrong. Has anyone had a similar experience and wants to share a solution to the problem?

    Since T-Mobile does not offer a public IP, port forwarding does not work either.

    The problem is that despite following the photo in the post and the suggested hints in the thread https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3735950.html, the router is still not connected to the network. The device supports VLAN and connection via PPPoE, user data is also correct because after connecting it collects the IP address. After a few tries, I managed to get a connection to the network in the router, but it was described as a poor network. It supposedly allowed me to talk on ts3, ping and tracert also returned the IP. Any other action, such as turning on the e-mail, was not possible.

    This runs on a single-core Qualcomm Atheros QCA9563:

    VLAN, frame tagging, NAT, etc.

    Are you able to link the equipment that will meet the requirements? Or at least name a company that offers them. I will be grateful, I will do research and probably order a model, I will post a description of the effects when I make the configuration.

    If you only care about port forwarding, replacing the router in T-mobile will not help you in this matter, until you get a public IP from them, because you have a private IP as standard, and they do not have a public IP service in FTTH, without writing a complaint etc., I won such an IP from them after a few months of "battle".
    And getting back to the topic more, I have a Huawei AX3 Quad Core and the internet runs smoothly without a problem bypassing their router, on the data given above.

    Hello, my fitters, connecting the optical fiber, despite the fact that the pipes were prepared, did not want to pull the ground. So as soon as they left my property, I cut the optical fiber, dragged it with earth, welded it, pulled out the mikrotik and it went like a breeze. After a month I got a permanent public IP and now I'm happy.
    Only I am still tempted to delete GPON because mikrotik also has SFP.

    Hello, I have fiber optic internet from T-Mobile recently. I wanted to change the router to the purchased TP-LINK ARCHER AX1500, I set everything as it should be, but the speed is only 75Mbps both on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I don't know what the problem is.     I've been sculpting recently not on a cable but via the WDS Bridge function (I won't drill in the walls since I know the network name, MAC and password) and I will say that having two TP-link routers it was one big lottery once it worked once it didn't, I really messed up a lot and I haven't found any dependency so far xD
    The only thing I noticed was that the channel (channel) changed from 9 to 1, but after setting everything up as needed, there was still no internet and, interestingly, I had no problem seeing what devices are connected to the main router, such as my phone, friend's phone, etc...
