    Hi
If the firmware failed to boot on your device, you will have a recovery mode in the device. See instructions below :

If you end up corrupting your flash and your router cannot boot (e.g. with the error “Invalid boot block on disk”), then the router will expose the “Broadcom - CFE miniWeb Server” on http://192.168.1.1, in which you can upload B593.trx from the factory firmware file, e.g. V100R001C748SP107.tar.bz2.

You can also retry the update with a new firmware.

I have attached the firmware file and the upgrade tool for you. Good luck. Nice to hear from you soon.

Many thanks for such a detailed reply. One question, do I use the multicast tool to upload the firmware?

I just tried the method. I set my ethernet IP to 192.168.1.5 and tried to use the tool attached but it asks only for tar.bz file or trx file but the attached file was .bin.

    1) Just wanted to check if this method is applicable to B593s-22 as well as I thought it was for u-12 model?

    2) Do I need to do anything else other than just connecting the router to PC ethernet to get the recovery web interface? as I could not get any web interface on 192.168.1.1

Yes, you can also test the u-12 firmware since it is the same hardware. You can test this .trx file

As you mentioned, the device is in rescue mode and the rescue web interface is not available. The multicast method is mandatory in your case. Set your IP as static (192.168.1.5 is perfect) and try the flashing. If the device is not responding (no led moving after max 10min) try to start the device with the reset button and power jack connected at the same time.

Many thanks. Just tried for 10 minutes using the multicast tool but no luck. Also held the reset and power button and then used the multicast tool but still no luck.

Topic summary

The user encountered a firmware update failure on their Huawei B593s-22 router, resulting in only the power LED being lit. Responses provided recovery methods, including accessing the Broadcom CFE miniWeb Server at http://192.168.1.1 to upload the correct firmware file (B593.trx) and using a multicast tool for flashing. Users confirmed that the multicast method is necessary when the device is in rescue mode. The discussion also mentioned the possibility of using firmware from the B593-u12 model due to hardware similarities. Despite attempts to recover the device, the user reported no success with the suggested methods.
