Hey guys/gals, I've been obsessing lately on buying an OLED. I've loved OLED ever since they've come out especially now with just recently learning about HDMI 2.1 capabilities (4k @ 120hz etc) Particularly the LG 65" C9. I had my chance today to pick one up for $2699 cdn (last one in stock 😬) but decided to walk away to sleep on it with the chance of it being gone https://mobdro.bio/ https://kodi.bio/.

My question is, has anyone gone from owning a plasma straight to OLED with any type of disappointment?

What I'm worried about is how the OLED will perform on a regular cable box on 1080p. The salesman switched inputs for me from their demo to their cable feed and I wasn't impressed. I'm sure their signal is split 20x and may not look as good as home. I do love how natural and smooth plasmas look but I also want to jump into the 4k and HDR game as that just looks stunning. I just don't want to be disappointed when it comes to regular content. With the motion blur turned off, it still seemed a little stuttery. I don't like judging a TV model from the showroom floor so just seeing if anyone has their personal opinions on this. Thanks

I have an old Panasonic tx-42g20e and I am looking for a replacement. So far, from what I can see the LCD has made a lot of progress since its heyday. For now, my choice is towards SONY with Full led matrix technology. Somehow, the weak blackness annoys me the most.
