Hi, I have a Samsung TV that has the required dvb-t2/hevc decoder (this information is on the manufacturer's website). I do not know why some channels, e.g. Polsat and TVN, have only sound. The TV shows that this channel has no picture. Has anyone of you encountered such a problem?

There are a lot of entries on similar topics when the TV has dvb-t2 and HEVC and there is no image.
Generally: it does not have a 256QAM modulation decoder or the area settings do not activate it.

If after switching to another country - start by selecting the country: Czech Republic - the picture does not appear, you have to purchase an external decoder.

And the manual for the British market is this entry:
"The DVB-T2 system may not be supported depending on the geographical area."
There is no mention of 256QAM support in the description. But on the Czech manual of this Samsung there is a description of tuning for DVB-T2.

Nonsense. If the TV couldn't receive the required modulation, it wouldn't receive anything at all. Even the channel name. There would be no packets to decode.
I bet there is no decoder for the required HEVC profile.

I just described the general topic of the problem. In this particular case, the HEVC codec is not running, probably due to the lack of access limited by geographic settings.
I also met a Samsung that received 256QAM and had no HEVC at all.

    Start with the country...

Could it be a problem with the signal, i.e. the cable from the antenna?

    I don't think so.
Otherwise there would be no voice on these channels either.
    The TV wouldn't "find" them.

After the problem. I don't know what changed but a factory reset helped. Thank you very much for your answers.

Apparently you haven't done a full reset of the TV since the last firmware update.
In the amendments, Poland was probably added as a country with HEVC support earlier, as @irekr pointed out, the action was regional and was attached after setting the Czech Republic, Germany, etc. countries that previously had the DVB-T2 HEVC standard.

Check if you also have the latest firmware: version 1392.0 from 2021-12-16.

    Hello..
I have the same TV as the topic creator. The software is the latest that could have been downloaded. TV reset done with a change of region from Poland to the Czech Republic and remained because there is no Germany.
The TV does not search for Mux2, i.e. Polsat and TVN. In their place appear the names of radio stations. No sound or picture.
I live in the province Lodz. Męcka Wola, the vicinity of the city of Sieradz.
I receive from the Kalisz MIKSTAT transmitter on the channel:
    31- mux3
    37 - mux5
    38 - mux4t2
    44 - mux1t2
There is no channel 32 on which mux2t2 should be, i.e. Polsat, TVN, etc.
Changing the antenna settings to the Zygry transmitter and I only receive channels here:
    9 - mux8
    26 - mux3
    No channel 45 - mux2t2 and 46 - mux1t2.
On both transmitters, an attempt to manually search for missing channels indicates a complete lack of signal.

    What else can be checked?
Is it possible that someone receives this TV model DVB-T 2 / hevc and someone else lacks a codec?

Correct me if I understand this correctly:
    you receive:
    k.31 Mixstat MUX3 in DVB-T 64QAM
    k.37 Mixstat MUX5 TVP-test in DVB-T2 256 QAM
    k.38 Mixstat MUX4 Polsat in DVB-T2 256 QAM
    k.44 Mixstat MUX1 in DVB-T2 256QAM
    You do not answer:
    k.32 Mixstat MUX2 in DVB-T2 256QAM

    And two questions:
    1. Antenna with or without amplifier
    2. In MANUAL tuning, do you search on k. 24 from RTCN Zygry MUX5 TVP-test DVB-T2 256QAM and MUX4 Polsat on k.21?

You are definitely closer to RTCN Zygra.

Please note that on certain dates transmitters are down for maintenance, just some today currently.

And an important note; currently EC4 Widzew is no longer a TV transmitter!

Irekr- I know that the transmitter on the ec4 no longer works. That's why the antenna is zigzag. Previously, I had the antenna set to the boat, but there was too much interference and I moved it to Kalisz. At the moment, after switching transmitters, I am looking for a solution to the problem.
The antenna I have is without an amplifier because before it amplified the noise too much.
If the antenna is set to Kalisz, it does not search for channel 32-Mikstat MUX2 in DVB-T2 256QAM. Even manually as I set it shows zero signal. In the direction of Kalisz, he finds a test channel that checks the new standard and he receives it correctly.
As for the search for channel 24 and 21 in the zigzag direction, I will not answer at the moment because I do not remember. I will answer in the evening.

    Forget about this board.
    It's just plain "dark".
    It is broadcast on MUX-3 (DVB-T), TVP_olityczna

What a scam :?: :D My friend and I live in Lodz, almost next to each other.
The test channel showed that my SONY will not receive DVBT2 and my friend's SONY will.
After yesterday's change of the broadcasting system, the reception is consistent with the test - my friend's TV receives mine no.

I use cable, the lack of terrestrial does not bother me, but out of curiosity I checked its reception and I have three variants:

1/ I receive TVP channels as announced about the extension of broadcasting in the old system.
2/ some channels - message "no signal"
3/ some channels - "no video" message divided into two subgroups: a/ no video, audio is present, b/ no video and no audio.

That the test channel was not a scam as you deigned to write.

    If not, almost so.
A moment ago I checked on a TV with DVB-T2 support, but without the HEVC codec and on MUX-3 it receives the "Checking TV" program and does not find the others.

Today, unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to climb onto the roof and change the direction of the antenna. I hope I'll be able to do it tomorrow.
I suspect the fault lies with the TV. Although it is the same model as the founder of the topic and he is talking about it, I'm probably missing some codecs.
At my in-laws, who live 3 km from me, they receive all the muxes from Zygra's transmitter on a TV with an amplifier, purchased a few years ago in Tesco.

    Gentlemen, please don't argue...

The MUX3 board is broadcast in MPEG4 HEVC DVB-T 64QAM
MUX2, on the other hand, is broadcast in MPEG4 HEVC DVB-T2 256QAM and with E-AC3 sound.

I also think that "checking" is misleading, the real test is the reception of the TVP test MUX.
That is why some receivers have a picture and no sound, others have sound and no picture, and still others receive nothing and do not even detect a signal. And those that receive everything do not require an external decoder.

Welcome back. I initially set the antenna to Zygry and channels 24 from RTCN Zygry MUX5 TVP-test DVB-T2 256QAM and MUX4 Polsat on k.21 worked. There was still no mux2 so on the working channels I turned on the diagnostics and watched the signal strength. On this basis, the adjustable azimuth of the antenna and BINGO. I set the highest possible signal strength and Polsat was found.
Thank you for your time and expertise.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an issue with the Samsung UE55RU7102KXXH TV, where users experience audio-only playback on DVB-T2/HEVC channels, specifically Polsat and TVN. Several potential causes are identified, including the lack of a 256QAM modulation decoder, geographic restrictions affecting HEVC codec functionality, and signal quality issues. Users suggest checking regional settings, performing a factory reset, and ensuring the latest firmware is installed. One user resolved the issue by adjusting the antenna direction to improve signal strength, successfully receiving the missing channels. The importance of proper antenna setup and regional compatibility for DVB-T2 reception is emphasized throughout the discussion.
