Since yesterday the phone turns on and off every few seconds - like in a loop. It wasn't flooded or dropped, the display works fine. Once the inscription Miui is displayed, once the android system. I managed to enter the service menu, where you can do a reboot or format the system, but nothing helped. I read on the net that it may be the fault of the SIM card, software, or the battery, which does not hold the voltage - but it is not swollen. It also worked in a loop at night, the display is still on until now. Unfortunately, it doesn't get to that point where you can log in. Regards

For starters, check with the ribbon of the side keys disconnected. In this case, you just need to raise the head plate a bit so that it does not come into contact with the tape.

It could also have gone into bootloop, board corruption.

For starters, do what blahfff colleague wrote. Next, check the battery, just because it's not swollen doesn't mean it's working.

I disconnected the battery, then picked up the motherboard. Unfortunately, no changes. Android is running in a loop all the time.

Possibly a battery but probably not. If you have nothing left to lose, try reloading the soft. If that doesn't help, it's most likely a faulty board.

But first you need to enable developer option on your phone, and I don't have access there. How to do it from the computer? I've been looking around and can't find anything specific. However, I downloaded the mi unlock program to unlock the bootloader. The program starts, detects the phone, but does not unlock because the USB port is not enabled in the phone settings.. I also registered on the Mi Xiaomi account.
I will try Xiaomi ADB and MiTool again. Unfortunately, MiTool is asking for USB to be turned on. Is there any pc program that will enable it?

I used the Miflash program, downloaded a few ROMs, unzipped. When I want to upload a system, an error pops up in Miflash - can not find file flash_all_except_storage_bat. What to do with it next? I read that you still need to somehow unpack and process the compatibility folder, but I don't know how to bite it.
What system to try, Europe, China, Russia, India? How to check which system is for my phone?

The new system cannot be uploaded because the phone asks for the Xiaomi account number. Unfortunately, I do not know it, and my son claims that he did not wear any.
I sent an e-mail to Xiaomi's central service requesting deletion of my account. They asked for the IMEI number of the blocked phone and the number of the SIM card. I sent it and am waiting for a response.

Probably assumed when configuring the phone. It's a hard thing. Only they can help. Of course, you can bypass it, but it can end badly, there are ways ... I hope the phone is not just a left one ... if you prove it to support, they will unlock it 👍

Possibly he did, but not necessarily. You can skip this step and do it later. They can delete everything, I don't care about the data from the phone, nothing special and important was there. What "left" phone? I have the original box with IMEI numbers 1 and 2, serial number, receipt from the store, phone number that has been in this phone from the beginning. Would anyone other than the owner have this data?

Added after 2 [hours] 28 [minutes]:

They replied to my email and directed me to the Xiaomi service. Unfortunately, the service is paid PLN 115. I probably won't use it, the phone is not worth it. In several points with telephones, I was offered to unlock and additionally upload a new system for PLN 100. So unnecessary waste of time and headaches.

As I wrote. I will not use the unlock for PLN 115 on the website. Maybe someone will buy it who can handle it.

Topic summary

✨ The Xiaomi Redmi 7A is experiencing a boot loop issue, turning on and off every few seconds without allowing access to the operating system. Initial troubleshooting steps suggested include disconnecting the ribbon of the side keys and checking the battery functionality, as a non-swollen battery may still be faulty. Attempts to enter the service menu for a reboot or system format have been unsuccessful. The user has explored software solutions, including using MiFlash and other tools, but encountered issues with USB debugging and account verification. The user is considering professional help but finds the costs prohibitive, leading to a potential sale of the device.

FAQ

TL;DR: Fix Redmi 7A bootloops by isolating side buttons, checking battery, or reflashing. PLN 115 service quoted; “unlock and additionally upload a new system.” [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20130337]

Why it matters: For Redmi 7A owners stuck in a reboot loop, this gives quick fixes and real-world costs so you can decide next steps.

Quick Facts

Why does my Redmi 7A keep rebooting in a loop?

Common roots include corrupted system software, a weak battery, or a faulty mainboard. As one repair helper notes, “try reloading the soft.” If flashing does not change behavior, suspect the motherboard. Start with power and software before deeper hardware work. [Elektroda, winmap, post #20076585]

How do I test if the side buttons or flex are causing the bootloop?

Isolate the side‑key ribbon to rule out stuck keys causing resets.
  1. Power off and open the back carefully.
  2. Lift the head plate so it does not contact the side‑key tape.
  3. Power on and observe if the loop stops.
This isolates a shorted or stuck side key flex. [Elektroda, blahfff, post #20071303]

Can a non‑swollen battery still cause bootloops?

Yes. A battery can be faulty even if it looks normal. Do not assume health based on swelling alone. Test with a known‑good battery or substitute power. Rule this out before deeper repairs. [Elektroda, KRY5PIN, post #20072546]

What is a bootloop on Redmi 7A, and does it mean board damage?

Bootloop means the phone restarts repeatedly without reaching the system. On 7A, it can indicate board corruption. Software issues can also trigger it. If symptoms persist, hardware diagnosis may be required. [Elektroda, winmap, post #20071727]

Do I need Developer options or USB debugging to use MiFlash?

You can attempt flashing via Fastboot without entering Android settings. In the thread, MiFlash was used despite no access to settings. Boot to Fastboot, select a fastboot ROM in MiFlash, and flash. This approach avoids USB‑debugging toggles. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20080154]

MiFlash says 'cannot find flash_all_except_storage.bat'—what should I do?

That message means MiFlash cannot find the specified script in your ROM folder. The author saw this after unzipping several ROMs. Verify the unpacked ROM contains that .bat file before flashing again. Try another fastboot ROM archive if needed. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20080154]

I can’t enable USB debugging because the phone bootloops. How can I proceed?

Tools that need USB debugging will not work in a bootloop. The author tried Mi Unlock and MiTool, which requested USB enablement. Use Fastboot‑based flashing, or contact support for unlock services. This avoids the need to enter Android settings. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20077271]

After flashing, the phone asks for a Xiaomi account. What does that mean?

The device is locked to a Mi Account. Support must verify ownership and remove the lock. As one helper says, “Only they can help.” Avoid unofficial bypasses, as they can end badly. [Elektroda, winmap, post #20130089]

What information did Xiaomi Support request to remove the lock?

They asked for the phone’s IMEI and the SIM card number. Provide accurate identifiers so they can verify ownership and assist. Then wait for their response. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20129786]

How much will unlocking or service cost, realistically?

Reported quotes were PLN 115 from Xiaomi service. Local shops quoted about PLN 100 for unlock plus ROM install. Compare cost with the phone’s value before proceeding. These prices can guide your decision. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20130337]

What if disconnecting the side keys and battery didn’t change anything?

That can happen. One user disconnected the battery and lifted the board, and the loop persisted. Continue with software flashing or formal board diagnosis. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20076430]

Can the SIM card trigger a bootloop?

It is cited as a possible cause. Remove the SIM and test boot behavior. If the loop stops, replace the SIM or clean contacts. If not, continue diagnostics. [Elektroda, adamskippl70, post #20071280]
