Hello.
I'm looking for an adapter for Chromecast 4.0 (Chromecast with Google TV) that will be faster (and cheaper) than the one originally sold by Google.
It must have a USB-C end to plug into the Chromecast, an RJ45 port to connect LAN + 1 Gbps bandwidth (which USB "castrates" to 480 Mb / s - but for my internet it's a perfect speed, much better than 100 Mb / s google' of an adapter for PLN 300
) and powered via USB-C.
I've seen various HUBs, but not only are they expensive, but apparently not all of them guarantee cooperation with Chromecast - do you have something proven "in battle", which I could buy blindly and preferably under PLN 100?
P.S.
I found an adapter https://www.amazon.pl/Cable-Matters-Adapter-Ethernet-ladowanie/dp/B08NXS46DN, which is supposedly great for these applications - but I was worried about the markings on the boxes given by the manufacturer.
It's about the "Cancer and Reproductive Harm" warning - it's related to the California law of the so-called California Proposition 65 (details here: https://www.cablematters.com/CA-Proposition-65-FAQ.aspx).
The manufacturer explains in the link above that there are trace amounts of chemicals from the list in his products, so he warns if he wants to sell goods in California. He probably writes the truth, and more "poisonous" goods from Aliexpress or importers find their way to our homes without appropriate stickers, but to quote the classic "disgust remains"
- so I keep looking.
