I received today a postcard by registered mail (pre-court summons for payment) for parking on 27.04.2021, so 17 months have passed. What pissed me off the most was that at that time the receipt behind the windscreen wiper was not there, although in the photos it is. 85 zloty I would swallow, but 201 to these robbers it is a pity to give without a fight. Question for the esteemed forum: pay or ignore?

That's what I found and I think you have to pay.

The punishability of an offence ceases if one year has elapsed since the date on which it was committed, unless proceedings have been instituted within this period. In such a situation, the punishability ceases 2 years after the end of this period.

The matter is so nasty to me because I believe that I was the victim of a mafia scheme, and doubly so. I really didn't throw the receipt out from behind the wiper, and the parking ticket, which I'm sure was collected, was lost. Please note that with this, my opportunity to complain has been closed (21 days pass) and the debt has grown nicely. I have no means of defending myself, other than waiting for a possible court case. How about they let it go? Freshly, I just feel disgusted, so I want to at least play this way.

It is you yourself who are now paying for your own inattention / absentmindedness.

Nobody is forcing you to place the ticket behind the windscreen wiper (rain/wind/other event).

You must place it in a visible place to visually check its validity.

If you pay, you'll remember: no amount of explaining will help you; you are your own victim and even the court will tell you that.

@Wr841nd - did you read carefully or just look generally?
The photo the author is referring to contained a ticket stub behind the windscreen wiper, not a parking stub. When he returned to his car, there was nothing behind the wiper.
The question is, where was the parking receipt?

And today I went to the bailiff and he gave me the rest stating that the matter was already settled. An hour later a phone call from intrium saying that I still owe them 670zl and the case is being handled by the same bailiff.
I am trying to be polite, but I told the woman to just fuck off.... and that was that. She'll have a worse day, I'm not having one of my best days after her phone call and the balance has to be 0. That's how I feel after reading your topic.

@dybas wait is the worst thing, they will go to court and the court will automatically admit they are right. That's how these cases are done. All you can do now is pay, or exchange letters with them. Waiting is not an option.

There is still the option to take them to court for wrongful prosecution for a fictitious debt. You have to ask them what proof they have that I have not paid.

I paid. My wife cracked as she too admitted to staring at the car park. Thank you for your help.
